STATION WDCR will establish a semiannual award for "that Dartmouth student who does most to promote the constructive discussion of campus issues," it was announced last month by General Manager Ronald F. Kehoe '59.
"We want to see healthier, more vigorous discussion of the issues on campus," Kehoe said. "We want to do our part to encourage debate and to reward men with the insights and courage to speak out."
The award, to be given in the fall and spring each year, consists of an engraved plaque and a $25.00 cash prize. The selection committee includes Dean of the College Joseph L. McDonald; Prof. Herbert F. West '22, faculty chairman of the Council on Student Organizations; and WDCR General Manager Kehoe.
The committee will accept nominations from all students and faculty members, up to February 15.
