Maurice Blanchard "01e" died on February 10, 1959 after four days in a Brookline, Mass., hospital. He had not been too rugged for a few years. Then we learned of the sudden death of Roswell Powers in the Athens, N. Y., hospital, from a heart attack, on February 16, 1959. "In Memoriam" will have more information.

Jeannette Adams is the receptionist at the Holyoke Hospital and also at the Red Cross Blood Bank and occasionally at Mt. Holyoke College. She is "keeping her hand in." David Jr. has been called to Colorado Springs, Colo., as head of advertising of a TV station there. He had been head of advertising in WBNS at Columbus, Ohio.

George Colton, the Director of Development in Hanover has been pleased with the 1903 News Letter coverage of the Capital Gifts Campaign. We shall continue to tell how the class is doing as the whole fund develops. There was a dinner meeting in Boston in February and a report should be available soon. Harry Semmes is a member of the National Steering Committee and is a Regional Chairman.

From Phoenix, Ariz., comes a card from Grace and George Stiles, showing the Hotel Westward Ho. They are spending a couple of months there in Arizona and then on to California and back home by spring.

I wish more would do this: Louis Ekstrom found one of the secretary's self addressed envelopes, even a two cent stamped one, so added two one cent stamps and wrote. He regretted his missing the June reunion and reported that four children and eight grandchildren ganged up on him at that time in June. He retired in 1953 and as usual has been busier than ever. He can be reached at 935 Linden St., Bethlehem, Penna.

Clif Clarke and Agatha report from Hartford, 207 Sison Ave., that they and their "men boys" are all well. He was the first to let me know of Ole Blanchard's sudden passing.

Dave Logan retires from the Internal Revenue Service after fifteen years in the Stamford and Bridgewater, Conn., areas. Attended by about 150, a testimonial dinner was given by his co-workers in Stamford on February 5 at Bouchier's Restaurant. A purse was presented to Dave by his co-workers, attorneys and the accountants attending. He and Mary have been living in Norwalk for 36 years. Their son James M. served as a paratrooper in the 17th Air Borne Division in World War II. He gave his life in the Battle of the Bulge in Germany. At the time he enlisted he was a sophomore in Norwich University at Northfield, Vt. Dave plans to practice as a public and tax accountant as soon as he is released by the U. S. Treasury Dept. Here's a guy who can help you. Contact him at 7 Harriet St., Norwalk, Conn.
