Early in February Bart and Renza Shepard, Bill Davis, and George Steele had a pleasant reunion at the annual Dartmouth alumni dinner. The new Boston Sheraton at the Prudential Center was an ideal spot.
Jack Nelson is again at Ormond Beach, Fla., enjoying a little golf, we hope; and the Conants are still there.
A report from BUI Terry tells me that to date the memorial gifts to the Warde Wilkins' Memorial Fund amount to $955. Of the 63 gifts, 33 came from classmates and thirty from alumni in other classes and friends; a testimonial of the high regard in which Warde was held by his host of friends.
'13ers will be sorry to hear of the death of Clayton Tucker's wife in late December. Olive, also the sister of Frank Spencer, died very suddenly at a party. She simply dropped to the floor and was gone in spite of all efforts to revive her. Our sympathy goes out to Clayton and Frank.
On February 8 word came that Nat Rice had died. Our sympathy goes out to Dorothy and their daughter, Mrs. Donald W. Gray. Nat's very presence, at reunions, over the years built for a continuity of early friendships and his presence will indeed be missed.
