April 19 saw in Chicago at the home of J. Loy "Pat" Maloney the open house to celebrate his father's 100 th birthday. Pat and his father flew from Venice, Fla., a week before the celebration. James S. suffered a hip fracture last October so now uses a walker and has had to give up his half a mile a day walk which he had every day before the accident. We all send heartiest congratulations to James S. and best wishes to Pat Maloney. James S. Maloney, as he says, breathed the same air as Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln died April 15, 1868 and Maloney was born on a Carroll County, Ill., farm on April 19, 1864.
