Joe and Marie Barnett left New York on July 27 to tour Paris, Nice, Rome, Naples, Florence, Venice, Vienna, Salzburg, Innsbruck, Oberammergau, Rhine Valley and London; New York late in September and to Chicago for son Jack's wedding, to Helen Conlin of Akron, Ohio, on October 17.
President Line Wilson's three grandsons, Lincoln Rodman, Peter Michael and Robert Leslie Shaw, six, four, and one-and-a-half respectively, are "all blondes and one is left handed." He and Lucy drove around California this summer for trips: Palm Springs, Pasadena, Fort Bragg, the Gold country, Tahoe, etc., Yosemite and Wawona.
Dutch Barend's son Arthur Jr. is an M.D. and has three children, Helen seventeen, Frances sixteen, and Howard Arthur 3rd eleven years. Dutch retired this fall as of October 31.
Crawford Baker in Youngstown, Ohio, is retired and reports his son and daughter and all the grandchildren fine.
W. Goulding Warren and Phyllis at Holden, Mass., have six grandchildren. Will retire on November 15, 1960 as Treasurer and Collector for the town of Holden, Mass.
Ray Ball, like many of us, has given his golf clubs away. Says he hasn't played for a long time and couldn't break 100. LineWilson has not given up the game, nor BobConarit. Ray Jr. has a large ski store in White Plains and Ray Sr. is the expert ski repair man.
Ray and Marion Schulte in Spokane have nine grandchildren, and Ray is still working harder than ever, but relaxing on weekends. He reports that the Ed Stiles are thinking of moving to Vancouver, B. C. Ed and Phyllis have three grandchildren, one born in Nassau, Bahamas, son of Inez Stiles Robinson. Peter with two daughters is Production Manager of a small iron mine in Vancouver Island, shipping 350,000 tons of magnetic concentrates annually to Japan.
The Averys and the Davidsons escaped the worst part of "Donna" in September and were indeed fortunate. The Bill Davises in Falmouth had damage, but nothing much in Winchester.
The Clif Clarks have a new West Hartford 7, Conn., address: 531 Prospect Avenue. Bob, their 25-year-old son, was married last May.
Eddie Edwards has been in Old Saybrook, Conn., this summer and left for Chicago October 15. In November he goes to Mercedes to get ready for shipping about December 1 for the yield will be good and many Dartmouth 1913 orders for gift baskets will be filled.
The Eddie Sides took a long trip fromFlorida to see Bill in Montreal where theiroldest granddaughter graduated from MountRoyal High. School, then to their youngerson's in Norfolk, Va., and three weeks atFontana Village in the Great Smoky Mountains.
