JUNE 1959 JOHN F. CONNERS, WINTHROP J. SNOW

It becomes a habit to lean on word from Penny Aborn, Charlie Batchelder, EllsworthBuck, and Bill Hands; and these extras from Mart Remsen, Rosie Hinman, Jim Gregg,Bill Breslin and Win Snow all help to save this space from a blank. We could make chatter in anticipation of the forthcoming officers' meeting at Hanover, but let's not.

Rosie Hinman, awe-stricken from Grand Canyon grandeur, reports word from GailGardner, who is all set for the 50th. He reassures us that Hod Potter is as pleased as ever with his shift from Maine to Arizona.

Jim Gregg bemoans that a "vice" does not rate attendance this forthcoming weekend. We will miss Jim and Adele. What's more, his report on Sno Bird tells of a Swan Song, where only the Greggs and the Ducky Drakes responded. Shades of something. Everybody else was south.

Bill Breslin was helpful on several items of interest. He reports that Mat Hallett and Laura sailed from Boston in late March for a business-pleasure trip to Europe, to be gone three months. Have fun, Mat. Also, Bill Jr. is now teaching in Maryland where he has been interested in Y.M.C.A. work; and down there, in that field, whom else would he meet but Jesse Stillman?

Mart Remsen has a long story for us, once they let him loose in July. Three months, 10,000 miles, lots of contacts, including the N. Y. class meeting.

Here is one that I hope appeals. A friendly birthday wish draws such nice response, including a real interest in the capital gifts program in the Northwest; and as an extra, a real solid feeling for the Red Loudon Scholarship drive, so important to him, and us. A guy like that gives me a real lift, and you must know by now that he is none other than Sam Sheldon.

I was disappointed with Charlie Batchelder's financial report and so was he. Despite the years, go in for five. You will be there for the 50th.

This month's big event for me, and I think for Dick Pritchard, too, gets down to business as concerns the class history. I lugged the stuff over to New Britain, and when he had given it the necessary thought, he returned the records here for more talk. You others, namely, Sig Larmon, Mart Remsen, Ellsworth Buck and Bill Hands, please share his good example and I will try, too.

Bill Hands reports eleven for the N. Y. dinner, including Baldwin, Jenkins, Breslin, Palmer, Humphrey, Kingsley, Hanna, Hands, Daley, Remsen and LeCount. They are all in favor of an Interim Reunion in Hanover for the fall of 1961.

Change of address: Clarence W. Pierce, 102 Dogwood Drive, Mount Holly, N. C.; Paul C. Smith, 25 Maple St., Hanover, N. H.

Hanover, April 30. No change here, watching from the Inn. A ball game has started as I sit here awaiting the arrival of Bill, Mart, Charlie and Win. We plan some serious work. Will tell you about it in the fall. Summers are nice.'Enjoy yours.
