A SPECIAL REQUEST: In order that our class records may always be complete, the Archives Department of Baker Library has requested two (2) copies of the 1953 Class Book, which they do not have at the present time. This book was a white, paper-bound edition containing our commencement schedule, list of class officers, and the graduating class. If you have this book and are willing to donate it to the Library, please contact me. I hope we will be able to fulfill their request.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE BURNER'S: Word comes from Dave and Barbara Burner in LaGrange Park, Ill., announcing the happy arrival of a young lady in their family on January 9, 1960 — Mary Virginia. Dave finished Northwestern Law last June and is now associated with a Chicago law firm.

Here's news of Howie Clery, who has been named manager of equipment services for Raytheon Company. In this newly created post he will control acquiring of cars, the trucks and office equipment, and will also direct other equipment operations, in Raytheon's Massachusetts plants and laboratories. Howie has been with the company since 1957 and before that was with Gillette for four years as assistant to the budget director. He lives at 27 Lancaster Road, Needham, with wife, Connie, and year-old Howard Kingsbury III.

1960 - THE YEAR OF MARRIAGE ANDHONEYMOON FOR DAMON, DECKER, and JOHNSON. In January, the northern Maine town of Fort Fairfield witnessed the marriage of Hobart Damon and Priscilla Ann Bubar. After a wedding trip, the Damons started keeping house at 64 Marlboro St., Boston, Mass., where Hobart is engaged in Civil Engineering. Priscilla is a graduate of the Northland Beauty Academy, Presque Isle, Me., and was employed as a beautician in Fort Fairfield. A clipping from the Sunday New York Times of February 14, thoughtfully mailed to me by Mr. Osmun Skinner, Secretary of the class of 1928, gives an account of Jim Decker's marriage to Mary Wolfe in Henderson, N. C., on February 13. Best man duties were in the capable hands of John Mitchell. Jim recently completed a course at the Yale Bureau of Highway Traffic and is a traffic engineer with the Virginia Highway Research Council at the University of Virginia. And, Gardner, Mass., was the site in January where Ken Johnson and Jean Knox said their vows before heading on a New York City honeymoon. Jean is a graduate of Ollis Academy of Beauty Culture and was employed at Duray's Beauty Salon in Gardner. Ken is a member of the "Gardner News" advertising staff and has arranged for "home" to be at 49 Reservoir St. in Gardner.

CAN JULY BE FAR AWAY? Here are two gals who are marking the days off - Rosalie David and Loretta Helen Berry. And using the same calendar markings are Ray Alexander and Carleton Walker respectively. Both couples plan a July wedding date. Rosalie is presently a senior at Brandeis University and Ray is on the administrative staff of Beth Israel Hospital in New York City. After graduation from Dartmouth and Tuck, Ray received an M.S. in hospital administration from Columbia, and later served as a Lieutenant in the Air Force Medical Service Corps. Loretta hails from Norwich, Conn., and is a graduate of Norwich Free Academy and Connecticut College. She attended Middlebury Language School and also did graduate work at the University of Mexico. Since graduation, Carleton has done graduate work at M.I.T. and received a Master's degree from the University of Connecticut. Cheers to you, Rosalie and Ray - Loretta and Carleton!
