A member since 1950 and its president the past three years, Dr. Norman T. Crane has been reappointed to another five-year term on the Plainfield (N. J.) Board of Health. Norm is senior attending pediatrician and medical director of Muhlenberg Hospital and consulting pediatrician at Somerset Hospital.

Will Faust Nicholson has announced his candidacy for mayor of Denver in the municipal election May 17. Although a Republican party leader, Will has promised to wage his campaign on a non-partisan basis in keeping with the spirit of the city charter. Presently, he is a member of the Colorado State Senate to which he has been elected twice, last fall receiving the highest vote in Denver for the State Senate. Currently president of A. D. Wilson & Co., realtors, Will has had a successful business career. He attained the rank of brigadier general during his service in the armed forces. He has been active at high levels in all sorts of civic affairs. Will should make Denver a fine mayor and here is hoping the voters give him the opportunity.

The boys in this area, aided by some out-of-towners, gave handsome support to HaskellCohn at the recent annual dinner of the Bost on Alumni Association, over which he presided as retiring president. We had a pre- dinner gathering at the University Club where Fran Leland made arrangements for a room and was host at the hors d'oeuvre table. Twenty-six of his classmates sat down for dinner at the three 1922 tables located immediately in front of the head table, at which Haskell did his presiding. One of his duties, which he found particularly pleasant, was to give his own class the cup awarded annually to the class having the best attendance. Appropriately enough, the cup later was turned over to Haskell and will remain on display in his home for a year, at least. There is every indication that the Association enjoyed a successful year under Haskell's leadership. His classmates in attendance were: Elmer Ardiff, Ray Atwood, Gray Bates, Bob Booth, Bill Bullen, Nick Carter, Al Crampton, Carroll Dwight, Larry Farnham, Bill Gallagher, Hal Green, Charlie Hart, Bob Hight, Carter Hoyt, Ed Laycock, Fran Leland, Bill Mann, Andy Marshall, Len Morrissey, Joe Perkins, Ced Porter, Walt Sands, Stewie Stearns, Dick Stetson, Steve Tredennick and Dick Willis. Reservations had been made by George Stanley and Jack Strauss but they were prevented from attending by illness and a last-minute conflict, respectively. It is your scribe's opinion that this was one of the most enjoyable class affairs ever, and those who made it so may be sure that Haskell considered it the tribute it was intended to be.

At the January reunion of "old-time schussers" at North Conway, attended by 150 of the veteran ski enthusiasts who pioneered that fast growing sport in New England, JohnCarleton was a toastmaster at the dinner that wound up the day. Earlier in the day, BobBooth auctioned off relics of the first cable lift with proceeds going to the Olympic fund.

Frank Horan kindly sent a letter dated February 24 from Don Donavanik to be shared with you:

"Your letter dated January 3, this year, came to hand about three weeks ago at that time when I was nominated, in addition to my other duties, as the chairman of the Port Authority of Thailand. I have been very busy ever since, so please excuse me. I am glad to hear from you that you and your family are keeping well. In my position, I am looking forward to seeing you again one day in the States and I do hope that I shall have a chance.

"Pavita (Don's son) is now with me and for the time being he will look after the Government Pawnshops which I was requested to establish and we will open two pawnshops first and wait to see how it develops.

"In fact, this is only his temporary job, because of the fact that I have so many duties and I cannot look after them all, so he will be my deputy.

"By the way, I have received a note for annual dues from Kappa Kappa Kappa. I would be glad if you could send my enclosed draft to the proper authorities."

The fourth paragraph of Don's letter is hereby called to the particular attention of some of the domestic Brothers in Kappa.
