This month it looks like I will take a rest in this writing business as the flow of information in has not been very large. I can't help but repeat myself again when I ask you all to just sit down and write me a short note.

In the wedding and engagement field I have drawn a near blank for I have only one engagement to announce and that is one I have known about for some time. The big engagement of this month is that of Al Wertheimer to Mary Noble of Roslyn, N. Y. Mary is a graduate of the Syracuse University of Nursing and did attend the University of Michigan.

Now looking at the service, the Coast Guard is the big one this month with a total of nine new Ensigns coming forth. GeorgeBeardsley led the parade by being honored as the outstanding member of his class and receiving the Commanding Officer's award, an engraved officer's sword. George's assignment is to the "Sebago" out of Mobile, Ala. To save typing I will list the others that graduated and their new duty stations. CharleyDecker is on the "Matagorda" out of San Francisco; Paul Egner is based in San Francisco; Bob Foot on the "Storis" out of Seattle, Wash.; Chas. Goodall based in Sabine, Texas; John Icke based in St. Louis, Mo.; Jim Neff on the "Madrona" out of Portsmouth, Va., and Fred Scribner stationed in Boston, Mass.

The Marines are next with a list of the graduates of the thirty-week officer's basic course at the Marine Corps School - Qualified, Va. - Tom Taggart, Dave Marr, Bob Halbert, Max Fisher, and Ross Farrar. The Army ends up my message from Uncle Sam this month with notification that Kent Skibbie has completed the officer basic course for Infantrymen and now has the good fortune to be able to chomp-chomp throughout the swamps of the world.

Now on to the other bits of information that I have picked up. Pete Barber informs me that he is at this time selling rugs for the Tean-Alan Products Company in Lowell, Mass., with a territory that includes New England, New York state and part of Pennsylvania. Also in his letter Pete stated that Mickey Cohen is attending Cincinnati Medical School; Stan Drazen is at the Syracuse Law School while O. P. Jones is doing graduate work in Buffalo. Fort Devens is the new home of Bob Filderman and Warren Deckter, Stu Davis, Bill Sherman and Bob Werbel are now tearing up - I mean attending Columbia.

The service, but not. Uncle Sam, has taken another one of our class and that is Alberto Anselmi who is currently packing to attend the military school in Crema, Italy, for a period of ten months. Though part of Uncle Sam's army, Bill Linder has the gall to write and ask if any of us hard working young men would care to visit him in his haven in San Juan, Puerto Rico. No kidding, if any of you happen to be in Puerto Rico Bill says he would love to show you the town. One last gasp and that is to encourage you all to take a serious look back at the great benefits that you derived from Dartmouth College these past four years and here's hoping you will see fit to help the Alumni Fund meet its large goal in the coming months.

Must quit here due to a lack of information and it is with great expectation that I leave this note so short as I am sure all of you will sit down immediately and write me a note.
