We recently received a letter from MalHalliday from Iceland,

I said I'd write again when the first Dartmouth son arrived. Well Malcolm Konrad Halliday is here and making his way for the late '70's. I am this year headmaster of the Embassy School here in Reykjavik, Scholarship student for the second year as the American recipient at the University of Iceland and founder and headmaster of the "New English School." "Nyv Ensku Skoli."

My wife is Icelandic and we are having a very adventurous time here in the wilds of Iceland. We plan to return to Washington for the summer and will look forward to seeing all the Dartmouth friends there. Our plans for the international family are very uncertain indeed. But we'll nevertheless send Malcolm Konrad to Dartmouth.

Palmer Lewis has been graduated from the basic training school for pilots at Webb Air Force Base, Texas. You might say this is just another step in a military career which actually began freshman year when he joined the Air Force ROTC. Palmer's preoccupation with the air has probably kept him from botanizing, which was his major, and from the water, which he frequented as a Dartmouth crew man. He was married in senior year to the former Ruth Duke of Dunbarton, N. H.

From Boston University, where he is studying for a Ph.D., comes words that Doug Wheeler is the recipient of a Fulbright Scholarship for 1961-62. Doug plans to study history at the University of Lisbon, Portugal. His international exchange scholarship is designed to promote better understanding of the United States in other countries and to increase mutual understanding between the people of this country and other nations. Doug completed work on a Master's degree in history at BU last year, specializing in African studies.
