Medical School

This will serve as a preliminary announcement that a convocation under the sponsorship of Dartmouth College and Dartmouth Medical School and dealing with medical problems is to be held here on the weekend of September 8, 9, and 10. Details are being arranged at this time, and it is anticipated that a complete program will be in your hands in the not-too-distant future. Plan now to attend this outstanding event.

Winter has finally left us and outside work on the new Medical Science Building is progressing actively once more. Already one and one-half more floors have been added in structure, and brick masons are well underway. During the winter months work has continued on the inside, and the actual finish is visible in some of the laboratories on the lower levels.

A preliminary report on the Rolf C. Syvertsen Memorial - cash gifts have reached a total of approximately $4500, and more are coming in daily. To those of you who have already donated, please accept this temporary expression of appreciation until we can find time to write each of you personally.

We are foregoing the incidental Intelligence division of these notes this month due mostly to the recent absence of your correspondent, but we will try to catch up next month.
