With the help of Bill and Tina Colehower, I managed to organize a small tribe of Indian admirers for a trip up to Princeton. As usual, we ran into a large number of alumni but an understandably small representation of '59's. The ones we did run across were found after the game and after many other things. I had my pad and pencil ready and, at the time, thought I was doing a pretty fair job of reporting. When my head had cleared, how.ever, I was unable to make heads or tails out of my scribbling. A few items did remain in my mind which I will pass on to you here. Moose Morton is presently associated with the Discount Corp. of New York. So if you want a discount see Moose who is residing at 235 W. 15th St., New York 11, N. Y. And while you're in New York you can find Jerry Wunderlich who is working for the J. C. Penney Company.

His interest in African affairs sharpened by the recent events in the Congo, Dave Robinson is studying this year at the University College of Ghana, in Accra, and is gathering material for a master's thesis on AfroAmerican relations. He plans to return to this country next summer for more graduate work and then enroll at the University of London for the completion of his master's degree. In Belgium when the Congo fighting began last summer, Dave decided to go to central Africa to study the history and problems of the peoples there. To a Cleveland reporter he said he would like to devote his life to bridging the gulf of misunderstanding between Americans and the people living south of the Sahara.

I heard from Jim Krug last week of his engagement to Inga Tang Pedersen of Copenhagen, Denmark. They will be married on Dec. 27 in Copenhagen, after which they will return to Cincinnati where Jim is attending the University of Cincinnati School of Medicine. Walt Topham also joined the ranks with his engagement to Patricia Ann Kelley. Walt received his commission as ensign this April at Newport, R. I., and is presently assigned to the U.S. Macon.

Getting back to reality, we find that there are some members of the class doing something other than making love. Bob Lieberman has been awarded a pre-doctoral fellowship by the National Institute of Health for a year's study at the University of California Medical Center in San Francisco. Bob will take a year's leave of absence from Dartmouth Medical School to participate in this program. This past June, Bob was awarded a $300 prize by the American College of Chest Physicians for his essay "The Ciliary Mechanism in Health and Disease."

Tom Davis is studying for his Master's Degree in Geology at the University of Alaska and is employed by the Geodetic Survey. Jon Mandaville, who is studying at the University of Edinburgh, has been writing a series of articles from various points in Europe and the Middle East. He is studying Arabic, Persian, Turkish, and Ottoman history at Edinburgh.

And from Uncle Sam we learn that RickShute recently soloed the T-33 jet trainer at Laredo Air Force Base, Tex. Rick completed primary pilot training at Maiden Air Base, Mo., in July and now will receive 115 hours of flight instruction in the single-engine trainer at Laredo before being presented the Silver Wings of an Air Force jet pilot.

That will have to do it for this month. I would like to urge all parents of class members who are in the military life to be sure and tear out the class news so they will be able to keep posted on the doings of their friends and associates.
