A fresh crop of ’59 M.D.’s are beginning to arrive on the scene. Barry Smith, who received his degree from Cornell, will intern at Hitchcock Memorial Hospital in Hanover. Pete Dobrowolski, just out of Harvard Med School, is taking his internship at St. Luke’s Hospital, New York City. Also in the New York area you can find Dr. BobDiMauro, at Roosevelt Hospital, and Dr.Tom Magill, at Presbyterian Hospital. Both are graduates of Harvard Medical School. Bob Danielson, another Harvard product, will intern in surgery at the University Hospitals in Cleveland.

Sig Ginsburg is presently stationed at Ft. Hamilton, N. Y., where he is the Informa- tion Officer responsible for Troop Informa- tion and Public Information. Jeff Hands, currently with Arthur Andersen and Co., of Chicago, is engaged to be married to Elinor Dinius of Fort Wayne, Ind. They are plan- ning a November wedding and expect to live in Evanston after being married. From up Maine way we hear that the Rev. FrankSpitzer will be the vicar in charge of St. Matthew’s Church, St. Barnabas Church of Augusta, and St. John’s Church of Dresden Mills. Frank graduated from General Theo- logical Seminary earlier this year.

Bill Ardiffi was awarded the law degree from Cornell in June. This summer he was associated with the firm of Hill and Blake of Salem, Mass. This fall he plans to com- mence studies at Boston University School of Law leading to the degree of master of laws in taxation. Providence College has named Dave Gavitt as assistant coach of bas- ketball. During the summer, Dave coached the Harwich baseball team in the Cape Cod Summer Baseball League. Scott Palmer re- ceived his master’s degree from Stanford where he specialized in Latin American Af- fairs.

Dartmouth has awarded Tom Adriance a James B. Reynolds Scholarship for Foreign Study. Tom will be doing research in French military history at the War Office in Paris and the Military Archives at Vincennes. George Drawbaugh has been appointed a representative of the Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Cos. and will be working in the Newark, N. J., area.

Pat Burns, recently graduated from Har- vard Law School, will be spending a year in Bechuanaland, Africa, on an Africa-Asia Public Service Fellowship. After a year’s stay in Africa, Pat will return to New York as a Wall Street attorney.

Another flock of sheep was led away to the slaughter house this past summer as the wedding bells rang up a considerable toll on the hard core of ’59 bachelors. JohnHoran took Damaris Smith as his wife last May. George Lefcoe was an usher. BobBatson and Judy Anderson took the leap in August. John Remraers, a student at Har- vard Med School, pulled the double ring trick with Pat Bernier in June. Tom Magill and Don Bartlett were ushers. A 1 Gilburg and Alice Hurst were married in June also. Stan Cundey and Janice Veenema were married in July and are now residing in New York where Stan is employed by the Irving Trust Company.
