News this month is more abundant than usual. We seem to keep up very well on the moves you boys are making - either being promoted in your companies or to different jobs or to new homes to accommodate those ever-growing families, but I just can't keep track of all the children in the expanding 48 families. I expect the secretary in the 1970's won't have that problem anymore, so maybe we will have our files up-to-date by then. In the meantime, if any of you have had children in the last year I would appreciate your dropping me a card with the name and birth date.

I was very happy to hear that Lloyd and Joan Krumm were living back here in New York again. Lloyd just spent a wonderful year attending the Stanford-Sloan Seminar ia Executive Management at Stanford University, on leave from the International Paper Co. Upon returning, Lloyd was appointed Assistant to Leonard Dalsemer, Vice President of the company. He and his boss will be in the executive offices of the company handling special administrative duties.

We enjoyed receiving an announcement of the birth of Jim and Peggy Nicholson's second daughter Louise Ellen born in September. Jim is a lawyer with Corn Product Refining Co. in New York and commutes from nearby Pelham Manor.

To leave home base for a while, Vince and Helen Vayo moved to a new home in Hollins, Va., near Roanoke, where Vince is a Computer Sales Representative for IBM. Last I heard, and I must be behind on this, the Vayos had a daughter Laura, now three.

I just heard Gordie Mann left teaching in New Hampshire and is now a member of the National Science Foundation Institute at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. As Gordie is still a bachelor maybe one of those Southern belles can bring about his downfall.

Pete Swinscoe just moved to another house in Racine, Wis., where he is with a company called Color Arts, Inc., which does screen process printing. Pete is sales manager and secretary. He and Joan have two sons, Steve now eleven and Scott ten.

This spring Bud Pearce's name was on the front pages frequently during the investigation and suspension of members of the American Stock Exchange. Bud was the lawyer in charge of the matter for the Securities Exchange Commission in Washington. The Pearces also recently moved to a new home in Alexandria, Va.

We find Jerry King holding forth on a new campus. This fall Jerry is a lecturer in political science at Williams College after spending a couple of years at Middlebury.

Still engaged in sales, but now with Knox Glass in New York, is Pete Norton. Peter and Myra live in Rumson, N. J., and have four boys and a girl at my last report.

Joe and Marion Proctor last summer moved to another house in Natick, Mass. The family includes Dale and Wayne. Joe is plant manager for Madewell, Inc. in Boston, a company manufacturing industrial model silk screens and displays.

In the Boston area also is Charlie McCarthy, who just moved to Winchester from nearby Bradford. Charlie is vice president of the L. H. Hamel Leather Co., a tannery. The McCarthys also have five children, three boys and two girls, the oldest now nine.

The Stuart Craigs also moved into a larger house this summer as the family now consists of Pam, seven, Stuart Jr., six, and David, just two. Stuart is a lawyer in Danville, Va.

Because of the political situation in his native country Jorge Saralegui left Cuba and is now living and working in New York. He is with the Foreign Publications, Inc.

One piece of very recent news I am able to report via this column is Sonny Drury's transfer by Gulf Oil back to Pittsburgh. I know many of you as myself will look forward to seeing Sonny and Joan now that they are living in this country again, after spending four and one half years in Europe, their latest home being England.

I'm afraid that this will have to suffice for this month, but if our classmates keep making news, I'll do my best to keep it rolling to you. Until next month, so long.
