It has taken my nerves a few days to calm down from the excitement of the Yale game, but I hope that the results of all the remaining games prove as satisfying even though a little rough on the spectators. It really was a beautiful day for all these '48's lucky enough to attend. The immensity of the stands in the Bowl makes it a little difficult to spot people, but I did see our new head class agent, Lou Perry and wife Joan. The Chappaqua contingent consisting of Dave and Joyce Kurr, John Hatheway, and Joe Smith and part of his family were sitting behind me.

Barney and Diz Hoisington made their first trip to New Haven from their new home in Upper Montclair, N. J., and it was good to see them away from their former home environs in tigertown. Barney has for the second time, the first being a brief stint in Hanover, left the investment business for college administration. He is now with Columbia University.

I just sent a check to John Fenno for my annual class dues, and I urge all of you who have not done so to do so right away. John wants to receive that award again given by the college for the most successful class treasurer, which he received several years ago. Furthermore, all of you want to be kept informed on the latest events in Hanover and the activities of classmates by receiving your copy each month of this MAGAZINE.

John Zillmer, one of the bright young lawyers who has his own firm in Milwaukee, just moved his office to another building. John is still a bachelor.

Now that Dr. Bob Flanders' practice has developed so nicely, Bob and Susan and their family moved to another house with more room a little further out in the country. Bob specializes in internal medicine in Indianapolis.

I noticed in the "Wall Street Journal" the other day Chairman Scane Bowler announced the acquisition of another insurance company, this time in Mississippi, by his company, Western Reserve Life of Cleveland. He also reported that his company had made substantial progress in every area so far this year.

I sure enjoyed a day of golf at my club a short time ago with Dick Weaver and a couple of friends of his who were great guys. One I am sure was a bit of a ringer by his score and the way I was beaten on my own course, but we really had a wonderful day in perfect weather. I'm glad the skiing season is approaching however.

Bucky and Betty Beck moved to another house not far from their old home in Oak Lawn, Ill. Mike, their oldest son, is now seventeen, and their daughters are fifteen and seven. Bucky is now the men's wear buyer at "The Fair" store in Chicago. Another classmate who keeps moving up the ladder in the retail business is Laren Spademan who is with J. L. Hudson Co. in Detroit. He, Sue and their three children live in Southfield, Mich.

Once again I want to say that I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and 1966 proves to be a great year for everyone in the Dartmouth family.

See you next year.
