"Me and You - in '62"

Randy Burns on one of his several trips to Hanover this fall was the guest of the Mary Hitchcock Hospital for a few repairs and then spent his convalescence at the 1912 recuperation center of Roy and FlorenceLewis at 44 Bank St., Lebanon, N. H.

Elwyn and Sheila Taber are wintering at 317 Anastasia Blvd., the Thomas Motel, in St. Augustine, Fla. They don't expect to return to Conway, Mass., until April 8.

The College has completed their project to bring the mailing list of our Class Widows up to date and have listed all those who have returned the recent questionnaire indicating a desire to remain part of the Dartmouth family. Mrs. Charles F. Shepard writes that her son, Curtis Frederic, born October 26, 1943, is a junior at the Northwestern Military and Naval Academy, Lake Geneva, Wis. She still gets a big kick out of Lyme Armes' issues of the Billboard.

Mrs. Hazel "Ty" Cobb, now Mrs. Hazel Townsen, is residing at the Belvidere, Apt. 6, 300 N. Osceola Ave., Clearwater, Fla.

Mrs. Margaret Ross Geiser, wife of George W. Geiser of 64 Forest Hill Road West, Orange, N. J., died Tuesday, December 6, at home after a long illness. The sincere sympathy of all his classmates and friends is extended to George in his great loss.

In extending best wishes for the New Year, Art French wrote that he got a big bang out of several items in a recent issue of the Dartmouth Bulletin which I sent him. SamHobbs and Rosalind and Bob Belknap also

report that all is well with them in sunny California where Sam's grandson Dave is varsity guard and line-backer for Alhambra High.

Edith and Ray Tobey report that 1960 has been a pleasant year of varied activities, especially their trips to the Choate School calling on friends and visiting relatives along the way and exploring the Maine capes.

The "Bud" Hobans are now at their winter residence in Hollywood, Fla. They advise that they have sold Camp Wallula at New London, N. H., to Gerald D. Lane and Christian J. Bottinger, two gentlemen from Corry, Pa., with lots of camping experience to retain the name and tradition of Wallula. Bud and Barbara will remain in their home at the Camp during the 1961 season to be available to the new owners in case they may need some help getting the Camp back in full operation. They are also looking foward to seeing Lyme Amies at the Bahia Mar Yacht Club in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., this January.

Basil O'Connor addressing key volunteers of Greater Boston's March of Dimes campaign scheduled to open January 2, told them their major problems in the next few years will be educating the public about the National Foundation working the two areas of birth defects and arthritis. "Doc" is President of the National Foundation, the former Foundation for Infantile Paralysis.

From "Jimmie" Cleaves' diary March 16, '09 this notation: "Meeting to elect Freshman Class officers (per Palaeopitus request); President, "Cy" Dodge; V.P., "Hal" Harmon; Sec'y, "Dinny" Jones; Treas., "Jimmie" Cleaves; Cheer Leader, "Jimmie" Steen; College Club, Snow". How about that?

"Heinie" Urion, busy all summer, almost constantly before the N.L.R.B. in New York and the Federal Court in Newark, N. J., on labor union matters for an independent union of shipping line officers, enjoyed a good visit with Henry Van Dyne and Osmun Skinner '28 when they were at the Westchester Club Tidewater Oil Company meetings.

Ben and Jo Adams have checked in at their new winter address: Rt. 1 Box 679-A Nautilus Road, Venice, Fla.

Perley Roberts after celebrating his 45th wedding anniversary reports that son Norman's four children and daughter Laura's seventh-grade son, Steven, are topped by Martha, now a freshman at Jackson College, Tufts.

Marion and Mark Snow vacationed on Cape Cod with six other Cleveland couples after attending the Supreme Council of 33rd Degree Masons in Boston.

Talking over old times at the Denver Alumni Association's Christmas cocktail party were Gil McDonough '14 and T. D. Cunningham '13, both residents of the Denver area.
