"Me and You — in '62"

On December 26 last at Bahia Mar Yacht Basin, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Barbara and Bud Hoban came aboard the good ship "Gibby" to visit a spell with "Lyme" Armes and the Lester Gibsons '11 who were in port there for the month of January. The next day the crew of the "Gibby" picked up Barbara and Bud at their Hollywood winter home and with Amos Crooks '11 drove to Miami to attend the Dartmouth Club of Miami luncheOn-meeting and give the Miami luncheon-meeting of alumni the dignity of a senior delegation.

On January 2 Helna and Bill Lock and the crew of the "Gibby" gathered at the home of Barbara and Bud Hoban in Hollywood for cocktails, some reminiscences and to balance the score.

Katherine and Connie Snow spent the Christmas holidays with their daughter Con- stance (Snow) Klefos in Palm Beach.

Edith and "Dutch" Water bury finally got back to their Green Bay, Wis., home after a visit to Corpus Christi and a couple of weeks, including Thanksgiving, with their son's family of seven in San Antonio, Texas.

Rosalind and Bob Belknap spent Christmas with their daughter and family in San Mateo, Calif.; they together with Marian and Sam Hobbs expect to journey East in June of '62 for our fiftieth.

Randy Burns has successfully completed another tour through the Mary Hitchcock Hospital and Roy Lewis' convalescent home for 1912'ers at 44 Bank St., Lebanon.

Audrey Fuller reports that Hal is much better both mentally and physically and that they are now really enjoying Hal's retire ment.

Heinie Urion has returned from a three weeks' trip to Chicago visiting around with their three families there. He and Irma are making some major improvements to their home on Muchmore Road in Harrison where they expect to continue on.

Warren Bruner reports the arrival of their tenth grandchild, Arthur Gleason Bruner, son of "Immy" Bruner of Tucson, Ariz. He manages to get down to Washington, D. C., about four times a year.

Jo and Ben Adams are settled in their new bungalow home on Nautilus Boulevard, South Venice, Fla.

Dr. Roy J. Deferrari, Secretary General of Catholic University, retired September 1. In recognition of Dr. Deferrari's valued contri bution to the University during a tenure of 42 years Msgr. William J. McDonald, Rector, celebrated a Mass at the National Shrine, August 3. That evening a reception in his honor was held in the Social Center. Roy has been awarded nearly a dozen honorary degrees in recognition of his outstanding contributions o education in general and to Catholic education in particular. He is a Knight of St. Sylvester and holder of the Benemerenti Medal.
