Greetings with this new series of class notes which will take us right to our 60th reunion, the last officially recognized by the college. Sometime during the gathering the “sec” will be asked for some remarks. He wants to be in a position to have a written note from each whether or not present to read to the class. Also pictures recent or dated. Remember the pleasure we all got out of a lot of pictures which Tinker Erwin once brought to a reunion.

Neither Harold Hess nor the “sec” attended the meeting of class officers at Hanover last May. Both of us were feeling pretty good but rather a hard trip for a busy weekend. Harold and Grace are sojourning as usual during August at Sugar Hill in the White Mountains.

To you, Arthur Noyes, the sympathy of the class in the recent death of your brother George Noyes ’93

AG Smith writes from Seattle just after he and Miriam had spent several days at the Fair. . . . Then on to San Francisco, Los Angeles and home. Of course staying over at L.A. to see the grandchildren. Almost forgot to say that a group of former busi- ness associates helped AG to celebrate his “80th.” He is full of strength and “pep” which makes it possible for him to make these regular and extended trips.

Occasional post cards and a recent letter have come from Bill Maclennan. With the latter came a news clipping telling of a re- cent acquisition by the State of California of a painting by Bill’s wife Eunice who is a nationally known artist.

Otis Mudge was honored by the dedica- tion of a Boy Scout health lodge at the Scouts’ summer camp near Lynn, Mass. “Oats” has been active as camp physician ever since the camp was opened more than three decades ago. Thanks to Dana Whip-ple for sending on this news clipping and also for another sender whose handwriting looked a lot like that of Jules Walther.

The many friends of Harry Johnson, Sec- retary 1904, will be glad to know that he has made a fine comeback after a setback some months back. Harry has many times been a help and inspiration to your “sec” and he personally wants to send along his best wishes.
