There I was in the Hanover Inn lobby. Alumni were going this way. Alumni were going that way. Suddenly out of the mob emerges Gene Teevens, father of five and salesman for Pittsburgh Plate Glass. I think Gene mentioned that he had recently moved his family from Pittsfield, Mass., to Springfield in the same state, but frankly now I'm not quite sure. I had no sooner said howdy to Gene, than bingo out of the crowd steps Deke Emmons en route to the telephone booth (appropriately enough). Deke was in Hanover looking over the current crop of seniors as recruiter for his employer, the New England Telegraph and Telephone folk.

Dr. Art and June Figur were parents of a second son, Leonard, on December 22 in New York City. If you think that was smart income tax planning listen to this: They had their first son a year ago in December. As Art himself puts it, "Soon the government will owe us money!"

A boy was born to Reverend Walt andMargie Grevatt out in Cleveland on October 9. The son, Peter Christopher, is the third child for the Grevatts, joining four-year-old Martha and two-year-old Jimmy. In addition to his regular duties with the Churches of the Covenant and the Presbytery Walt is coordinator of an extensive "self study" of the churches and is chairman of the camp committee.

The engagement of Miss Gloria Miller of East Orange, N. J., to Dr. Dave Adler has been announced. Miss Miller is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University and is employed as a junior toxicologist by Hoffmann-LaRoche, Inc., in Nutley, N. J. Dave, formerly an Army captain and doctor, is now practicing medicine in Newark.

Bid Guild, an attorney with National Life Insurance Co. and author of several insurance textbooks as reported in this column recently, was awarded the Distinguished Service Award by the Capital City Jaycees (Montpelier, Vt.). There was a dinner in Bid's honor at which time tribute was paid to him for his services to the community, leadership and personal success in business.

John Doty from down Dallas, Texas, way reports he has 4,327 pennies collected for the trip back to the Big 10th Reunion. If he can find 24,661 more he'll be found there just inside the class tent. He also reports improvement in his finger painting!

A news clipping from the Mankato, Minn., Free Press reports that "Lee E.Schacht, Ph.D., consultant in the human genetics section of the maternal and child health section of the University of Minnesota, will be the featured speaker at a meeting of the Cottonwood County Association for Retarded Children." Lee's topic was "Inheritance and Mental Retardation."

A month or so ago we reported on TadStahl's interests in the British real estate investors' office building project in Boston. We've just seen a picture from the Boston press showing Jay Schochet with Tad and several others involved in the project. Jay has been in on the planning of this project from the beginning.

Air Force captain and doctor Bob Rieman is now stationed down at Clearwater, Fla. For those of us now living with Hanover's twenty degrees below that seems like rather mild duty. Journalist Dave Oestreicher has moved from Merriam, Kan., to Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Don "Puffer" Richardson is still in Chapel Hill, N. C., but with a new address: 1025 Highland.

Larry Worth can be still reached in the great Southwest but he's now located outside of Texas: Ponca City, Okla., for those of you down that way.

Reunion's little over three months away. Are you ready?
