Bob and Shirley Adams had their second child, Kathleen Ann, on September 19; Lesand Doris Bauer also gained number two, Dianne, on June 5. It was a first child for Phil and Allison Chapell, Phil Jr., on September 25. John and Martha Collins also added another to the family this year, their third, named Susan.
Out in the far west Jack and Peggy Crowell also had a third child, Ann, on May 5. It was the third also for John and Mary Cushing, Christopher on August 2, and Deke and Miriam Dorey were also three time winners on April 21, with the arrival of David. On September 2, Joan was number two in the household of Cole and Bea Dorsey.
April births were reported by Ted and Marilyn Frankenbach, Lind, their third on the 10th, and Jim and Esther Gardner, Lisa Anne, also their third on the Bth. Len and Sally Hedberg are proud parents of a firstborn daughter, Julie, on August 10. Another third baby was Marjorie Hoeven, new daughter of John and Patricia Hoeven, born on June 14.
Vince and Laurine Jones were parents for the second time on August 22 with the arrival of Valerie Ann, while Dick and Valerie Kezer made it four of a kind (daughters) with the arrival of Gail on June 23. Bradley Klotz was welcomed as the second offspring by Bob and Betty Ann Klotz on April 13 while on the 13th of August Dave (L.) and Lois Larson added a third child, Lisa, to their family. First babies were also reported by Hugh and Janet Lefkowitz, a son Matthew on August 18, and Ted and Jane Anne Lewis, a daughter Sarah on October 4.
Another Matthew was born in May (on the 6th) to Chuck and Nancy Liddle, their second child. On June 9 Don and Joan Myers became parents for the first time to a daughter, Catherine Amy. A couple of third youngsters were born in August to Steve and Lorraine Parkhurst, Sarah on the 15th, and to Bill and Wendy Randall, Clifford on the 10th.
Congratulations to one and all and a happy two a.m. feeding to you, dad.
It is also a pleasure to report several marriages this month. On August 20 at the First Methodist Church of Newark, N. Y., the wedding of John Bethel and Joyce Libbert took place. Jack is claims manager for the Home Insurance Company in Springfield, Mass., and the newlyweds are residing in Hampden, Mass. On September 10, Fred Neumann and Grace Elizabeth Ann Robinson were wed in the Marble Collegiate Church in New York City. The bride, a fashion copywriter for Bonwit Tellers is a graduate of the University of Idaho. Fred is a CPA and senior accountant with Arthur Anderson and Company. They'll live in Jack- son Heights, N. Y.
An autumn wedding is planned, and may have occurred by this time, for Ardie Epranian and Sylvia Gray, of Queens, N. Y., Hunter College, NYU Graduate School and University of Michigan Graduate School. Ardie's completing graduate studies at Columbia. Down in Texas, Dug MacArthur has completed his graduate studies, earning a Master of Arts degree. He plans to teach as well as write and direct in the theatre. Dug previously had earned an M.A. in business from Harvard Business School.
Dr. Dave Baum has been appointed as a fellow in pediatric-cardiology at the wellknown Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. Dave and wife Jocelyn were previously at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dave earned his M.D. at Cornell (1955). Chuck Knudsen has been appointed eastern district sales manager of home furnishings products for the U.S. Rubber Company. He's living in Scarsdale.
Pete Vosßurgh has taken a new position with Norden division's data systems department as a sales engineer. Pete will be headquartered at the East Coast sales and service office at United Aircraft Corporation's Podunk department in South Windsor, Conn. Another '52 who has been in the Hartford area, Sandy Wiper, has made a move to Sudbury, Mass., where he's now a teacher of biology at Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School. He's been at Suffield Academy for the past six years.
Em White was named manager for market research and analysis for Continental Can. He's working in Manhattan. Sid Scheck is an attorney with Saul S. Silverman, Esq., specializing in tax work and is also in the big town. Guy Labalme has left New York City for a public relations staff writer job with Gulf Oil Company in Pittsburgh. He and Patricia have two children.
Rusty Jackman at last report was district manager for Aviation Week magazine and employed in industrial advertising by McGraw Hill Publishing Company out in the Chicago area. He and Nancy have one child, Jill, now just over a year. Ceb Benisch is self-employed as a travel agent for business and pleasure jaunts - also has a teen-ager camp in Switzerland. Tom Clapp is a teacher for the town of New Canaan, Conn., working with "gifted" children. Tom earned his M.S. from Danbury State. He and Dorothy have two children, Tom who will be four the day after Christmas - poor kid - and Jeffrey, two in February.
Pete Eckert is treasurer of the Mohawk Valley Investment Company and he and Mary reside in Barnevald, N. Y. They have two youngsters, Elizabeth and Tom. Lt. Fred Heath is attached to the USS Medregal, a missile guidance submarine stationed in Hawaii. He and Del are also parents of two, Peggy and Nancy. .
Vic "Doggie" Trautwein has been in Lancaster, Penna., since the beginning o£ the year where he's with Rudisill and Company as a general accountant. Foreign Service officer Don Whittaker and wife Martha are now living in Bethesda, Md., while Don is assigned to home base at the State Department. They are parents of two, Donald and Sandra, six and four, respectively. Bud Sawyer's now a media buyer with Dancer-Fitzgerald-Sample advertising agency in New York.
Out in Honolulu, Paul Loo is an account adviser and stock broker with Dean Witter and Company. George Davis was named assistant to the treasurer of the Thomas J. Lipton, Inc., organization this year. Another 1960 promotion was Cy Gsell's ascendancy to the vice president position at R. Gsell and Company, import and sales of watches. Cy and Heather have two children, Wendy, five, and Charlie, two and a half.
Jay Anderson is a senior accountant tor Price Waterhouse and Company in Boston.
Bob Roberts is officers' assistant tor the First Pennsylvania Banking and Trust Company in Philadelphia. He started with the Philadelphia bank in 1956 after being out in Cleveland with Reliance Electric and Engineering Company. Bob (Charles M.) and wife Martha are parents of three, all boys, Charles, John, and William. Bob earned his M.B.A. at Harvard Business.
Another M.B.A. winner from Harvard Business, Cliff Fitzgerald lives in Old Greenwich, Conn., with wife Virginia and two children, Hope and Cliff III. He commutes to New York for work in investment banking with White, Weld and Company.
Also of news for the '52 family is the announcement that Bob Boye '60 was named recipient of the Charles I. Lebovitz Memorial Award at Tuck School. The award for the outstanding second year Tuck man was established by the relatives and friends of Charlie after his death in 1955.
