Ashley H. "Windy" Gale, a former mayor of Wilson, N. Y., died unexpectedly on Jan. 17, 1962 following an emergency operation at the Inter-Community Memorial Hospital at Newfane. The deepest sympathy of his friends and classmates in Dartmouth is extended to his wife and family in their bereavement.
"Kelly" Wells has been sick for the past several years and is at present confined to the Henley Nursing Home at 136 Federal St. in Salem, Mass. Drop him a line, he will be glad to hear from you.
Pike Childs and Katy and Hal Baker have been flirting with the idea of joining Roy E. Lewis and Florence at the Venice Warm Springs in Venice, Fla., and joining the "Peerade" to St. Petersburg, Fla., for Al Smith's big 1912 Pow Wow on Feb. 21.
Late reports from the 50th Reunion Committee indicate that out of 173 living members 108 have returned their preliminary Reunion Reply Cards with 81 indicating their intentions of being present in Hanover in June plus wives and/or children. The Reunion Chairman would like 100% replies from the 65 still to be heard from, it is later than you think.
Judge Harrie Chase's winter address is 632 Armada St., Venice, Fla., and needless to say they are planning on being at the St. Petersburg Pow Wow on Feb. 21.
Bill Middlebrook is back again in the Far East, this time to do a job of business administration for the University of the Ryukus. He will be back in Minnesota in April and will see us ,in Hanover in June for the 50th.
"Cap" Allen, who spent the turn of the year in Vero Beach and Miami, Fla., is planning a Western trip next summer but will be among those present at our 50th this June.
Warren Bruner is planning to take a trip to Tucson, Ariz., for a family visit by way of Washington, D. C., in February and will fly on to St. Petersburg, Fla., to attend AlSmith's 1912 Pow Wow, Feb. 21.
Sheila and Elwyn Taber are at the Thomas Motel, 317 Anastasia Boulevard, St. Augustine, Fla., again this winter and will head for home about April 28 to join us at the 50th in Hanover in June.
Gertrude and Eddie Luitwieler attended the annual Class Agents' Weekend meeting in Hanover this February and returned home full of pep and enthusiasm for the biggest Alumni Fund Drive the College has ever put forth for $1,250,000.
