Jim Zafris is one of that lost generation, the group of '49s who competed in the last election (in Jim's case Congress, Haverhill, Mass.) and didn't let us know who won. Jim is a branch officer of the First National Bank of Boston.
Nathan Gottschalk is always up to something. The latest has him guiding the Amherst Community Opera Company in its presentation of Mozart's "Cosi Fan Tutte." Our man waves his baton all over the place, including Hanover, where he comes up to conduct and lecture. He is director of the Pioneer Valley Symphony and Chorus in Greenfield, Mass., dean of faculty at Hartt College in Hartford, assistant to the director of the Hartt Symphony Orchestra (which he led in a recent concert in Hartford), and a teacher of advanced violin students.
Tom Huggins of Keene, N. H., is shown at the top of Moosilauke with his family, Libbet, Posie, Ginnie and Peter, and their adopted family member, Satinder Singh, a Sikh from India up in the Himalayas, who was associated with Tom at the Markem Machine Co. The climbers spent the night in the Winter Cabin.
