An afternoon of lawn raking has put your writer more in the mood for a nap than preparing Class Notes - one warm, bright weekend and spring fever has struck again!

The Reverend Ford Coffman and wife Lacy have switched islands in the Hawaiian group. After eleven years with the Lihue Union Congregational Church on Kauai, Ford, Lacy and their four sons have moved to Kailua, Oahu, where he occupies the pulpit at the Windward United Church of Christ. Three of the boys were born on Kauai. Ford served as a Marine Corps fighter pilot in World War 11. Ford attended the Theological Seminary at the University of Chicago. Lacy holds degrees from the University of South Carolina and Washington University at St. Louis. She apparently is a talented craftsman who paints as well as creates interesting souvenirs from driftwood and other tide-tossed articles gleaned from the beaches of the islands.

Ernie Grinnell has been elected vice president and general counsel of the St. LouisSan Francisco Railway Company. He received his law degree from Washington University. Ernie, Jean and their three children live in Webster Groves, Mo.

About the time you read this, your hard working executive branch will be in Hanover for the Class Officers Weekend. You may rest assured the business we transact will be in the best interests of the College and the Class of 1942. Bettie and I are looking forward to a few days of relative peace and quiet plus a very pleasant change in scenery. It is always enjoyable to revisit Hanover - you should do it more often!
