From all indications, Hanover was the place for 42's to be on October 17. A list of classmates attending reads like a page from Who's Who. On the more reserved side, the following items are passed along for your enlightenment.

Reported in Hanover recently: Dick andJane Clarke and family spent a day on campus in mid-September, in between a Cape Cod vacation and delivery of eldest daughter Trish to Wells College. Younger daughter Judy was shown Colby Junior College, and son Dick was making big eyes at the Dartmouth campus. Campus visiting is big business these days, and it appears that a good number of '42s are caught in its throes. As for the Clarke family, it's good to see that the northeastern schools can still attract the interest of New Trier's best. I'm not sure how many 1942 fathers were in town in September delivering their '68 sons, but our local reporter noted that the John Valkeviches and the Ken Joneses delivered sons Tom and Dick, respectively, to the campus. The following item may be of interest to them.
On Sunday, September 20, the Dick Bramans, the Charlie Browns, and the Ad Winships delivered daughters Laura, Leslie, and Sally to Colby Junior College.
News from Denver, Colo.: Russ Greer and Jim Idema both attended an alumni club cocktail party tendered a group of Hanover visitors. Russ is a veterinarian with the U.S. Air Force at Ent Air Base in Colorado Springs, and recently achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Jim is on the editorial staff of the Denver Post, and I can vouch that in the flesh he is as well preserved as he looks in the ALUMNI MAGAZINE picture of a year ago, taken with his Dartmouth-bound son. Jim Barr reported on the Barr family's July trip to Europe, in which they "visited relatives in Sweden, saw the Berlin wall, boated from Passau to Vienna, and then rented a car for about two weeks touring of Austria and Switzerland, ending up with a three-day visit in Paris." Jim has shifted positions in Denver and is now with the Boddington Lumber Company, which he describes as a great small outfit, more fun to work for and even more profitable than the construction firm which he previously headed.

This has been a hectic autumn - but it is always pleasant to hear from bearers of good news about active 42's. Keep up the great work, men!
