Bob Engelman - "Lunch with Walt Blood (security analyst with Bear Stearns and Company) ... also Harry McCann (national promotion manager for Sanforized) I have crossed paths with some other classmates in last few months, specifically DaveHedges (and) George Copp. ... Have reached that incredible status of grandfather. My oldest boy Denny, who returned to Dartmouth this year as a junior - after spending three years doing his army service and a tour of duty in a brokerage office - proud father of a little girl, Terri Sue. born December 27. He and his wife Darlyne live in Hanover. ... Bob Jr., graduating in June, engaged to grammar and high school classmate, Ronnie Silverman. Wedding in August. The third boy, Steve, has been admitted to Dartmouth in Class of '68 under the early admissions plan, but we are sweating out the admission of his twin brother, John. ... Grandma Mary and I are very happy and can't complain. ..."
Ted Gregory - "About half way through doctoral program in administration at N.Y.U. My job as coordinator of counseling at Quinnipiac College is great fun. ... Oldest son teaching history in Pittsburgh; oldest daughter a graduate nurse working in the operating rooms of Grace-New Haven Hospital; next son a student at Quinnipiac College; next daughter at Gould Academy and one son (7) at home. Whew!" Whew!
Dr. J. Richard (Dick) Loughry, D.D.S.- "Good news! Am finally taking the covered wagon from Cleveland to Phoenix, Ariz., for good! I will start all over again in dental practice in Scottsdale, March 1. Seems like a big project for young ones like we!" (Dick's specialty is periodontia, a word we've come to be grimly familiar with in recent weeks.)
Mrs. Ike (Ruth) Newman, from Ormond Beach, Fla. - "We are in the area of the 'Apollo' Project and building is booming. Henry still is working for American Truss Company and figures and sells his roof trusses from 'Deltona' to the East Coast and somehow keeps busy seven days and seven nights a week. Our two children are both in college and daughter in nursing division and hopes for her R.N. degree in June. We keep well and happy and still love our adopted state of Florida."
Bill Sheffield - "Returned to corporate legal work after 10 years with Garlock, Inc., in May 1962. Spent a year with IGE in New York then was appointed counsel for G.E.'s Atomic Power Equipment Department in San Jose, Calif. I like California and the work fine (new address: 15442 Benedict Lane, Los Gatos, Calif.).
MOVING UP: Gordy Haverkampf appointed to investment committee of Trigon Corp., new Chicago investment counseling firm. Gordy's been a consulting economist and financial consultant since 1935 when he got his Master's at Tuck School. He's also a director of E. R. Moore Co., and Wilmac, Inc.
Susie Sulzbacher placed seventh nationally in all-star championship sales contest of National Life Insurance Company of Vermont, achieving a whopping 1055% of his goal. Susie works out of his firm's Jackson- ville, Fla., office.
NEWS CLIPPINGS: Bill Eldridge and his management consulting firm of the same name subject of feature story not long ago in Los Angeles Times. ... Insurance man Bill Knibbs written up in San Diego (Calif.) Union financial column. Recalling his pre-war residence in Montpelier, column quoted Bill: "I loved it because the living was so easy. The people used a two-word language: 'Yup!' and 'Nope!' So no one is ever talked to death." Nope! (Bill's new address - 11th Floor, 1010 Second Ave., San Diego.)
Clarence Davies visited Thule, Keflavik, Sondrestrom and the Ice Cap with his boss - Commanding General of 26th Airborne Division - to bring cheer to U.S. troops there. (Clarence also a new grandpappy granddaughter born to son J. C. D. Ill '59.)
