In the last issue our major news was WaltPeterson's fight to become Speaker of the House of the New Hampshire legislature and we mentioned the late news flash that he had won. . . . The news this month concerns his victory in beating out Zandy Taft '49, 137-81. Zandy was then named Majority Floor Leader.

A nice letter from Dorothy Peterson mentions how proud the family is of Walt's election. Walt and his brother own a real estate agency in Peterborough where the Petersons live with their children, Margaret 10 and Andrew 8. It should be safe to say that this is the highest political office that our classmates have as yet attained. . . .

Dick Hill is the author of an article which appeared in Life Association News – discussing the "Magic of Cash Accumulation." The fact that he is successful in selling insurance is primarily due to the approach that life insurance is an excellent way of saving to meet future plans and has benefits for the living rather than emphasizing death values.

Out in the Windy City it's reported that former Assistant Secretary of State of Illinois Bob Cronson is part of a newly formed securities firm, The Chicago Corporation, and has been elected secretary and a director of the firm. Bob resigned as vice president and general counsel of Insurance City Life Company to take his new post, but he will continue to serve as a consultant for his former firm. A University of Chicago Law School graduate, he is an officer in a number of Bar and securities associations.

The executive committee, under the able leadership of Al Bildner, plans to meet in May in New York to take up various matters which have accumulated over the last year. . . . Any of you who have questions or other matters upon which you would like action, let me know and I'll pass them along for discussion.

Don't forget those '65 dues – $6.00 to Joe Kurey. . . .

Let's get 100% this year!
