With the Alumni Fund drive getting under way, it is a good time to review in your own minds the importance of our futures in the realm of higher education. Make this year's gift early and sufficient in size to hurt just a little bit.

A few more tidbits on Walt Peterson, the newly elected Speaker of the House of Representatives of New Hampshire. You may remember that Walt was a member of the varsity basketball team during the very successful '40's but he continued his playing activities as a member of the Nashua Athletic Association Five and won the New England title.... It is predicted in the local papers that Walt may go for the Governorship of the state in 1966.

About a year and a half ago, we reported that Pat McLoughlin had been appointed to the East Orange Board of Edu- cation and we are pleased to note that he has been appointed to a second term, indicating that he either has done an excellent job or that it is so miserable a job no one else would take it! Knowing something about Board of Education work, most of our classmates who go in for this task know it is a thankless job - and Pat deserves our sympathy....
More on the political front! Jim O'Neill of Laconia, N.H., has just been appointed to manage the campaign of the Republican nominee for the mayoralty of that city.
