At long last the Green is green and everyone takes his time wandering down the sidewalks to watch at least a half inning of a fraternity baseball game.

My first item results from direct correspondence. Owen Fiss wrote a month or so ago to correct my statement about his receiving two degrees from Harvard, and he used the opportunity to bring me up-to-date. Since receiving his law degree from Harvard in June, 1964, he has been clerking for Judge Thurgood Marshall, Circuit Judge for the United States Court of Appeals, New York City. Next year Owen will clerk for Mr. Justice Brennan of the United States Supreme Court. If I could get a response bearing such commendable news from all of you, I'd print incorrect information every time.

Spring always brings wedding news. David Anderson married Carolyn Langtry on March 27. A May wedding is planned for Vic King and Jasmina Stefanovic of Belgrade, Yugoslavia. Both are now attending the University of Michigan - she for a master's in anthropology and he for a law degree.

From off in the wild blue yonder comes a press release that Ist Lieutenant Jack _ Wells, formerly of Great Falls, Mont., is one of a select group of U.S. Air Force scientific and engineering officers now studying at the Pan American World Airways guided-missile range division at Patrick Air Force Base, Fla. He will receive a year of special training and range project planning and may become one of the missile or space program managers or technical directors, or perhaps go on to other key Air Force scientific or research jobs.

Steve Plank, still with the Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company, led all 55 agents in the Company's Connecticut division with production in excess of one million dollars for the 1964 calendar year. I should have saved this bit of news until the Alumni Fund drive is over - sorry, Steve. Dave Spaulding was recently awarded the degree of Doctor of Electrical Engineering by Stanford University. He is currently serving with the U. S. Army Security Department as a 2nd Lieutenant and was formerly on the faculty at Stanford. NormSwanson called up a few weeks back to talk about several '69 applicants. In the course of the conversation I gleaned from him that he is working in personnel with the General Radio Company down in Winthrop, Mass. He is also active in the Junior Achievement Program down there. A release from Western Reserve University mentions that DickSchmidt received his law degree on February 3. No news was included as to where he will practice. The Hanover Gazette recently published a blurb announcing the birth of a boy, Scott David, to Dr. and Mrs.William Gentry of Lebanon, N. H. The birth date - February 19. Dave Gavitt took on a little something to keep him busy when he's not engaged coaching the Providence College freshman basketball team. He was named General Manager of Rhode Island's new entry in the Continental Professional Football League. Rumor has it that DickLiesching has been assigned to announce the games on the local radio station.

And now some quick bits. Joe Graham is alive, living in Pomona, Calif., and doing something in the law field. Bruce Kalom is an attorney with the Aetna Casualty and Surety Company in Hartford, Conn. RobKillgore is a rewrite man for the Miami News in Miami, Fla. Dave Matlock is an industrial engineer with the Len Kurt Electric Company, Inc. in San Carlos, Calif. BobSteele is a teaching associate at the University of Colorado. Perhaps Rob Killgore rewrites what John Towle writes. John is in journalism down at Miami Beach, Fla. I guess Gary Ewing is busy selling parched earth - he's in real estate out in Salt Lake City, Utah. I don't know what they're getting for sand dunes these days. I gather by the address that Whit Gooch is studying at Yale University. Mike Hellman is producing and selling soap suds - he's production manager for Procter and Gamble in Augusta, Ga. The abbreviations on the card tell me that Jim Mueller is doing something with chemistry and food for the C. J. van Houten Company in Holland. Back to Denver, Pete Wolford is in sales for the Owens Corning Fibre Glass Company.

The Windy City's loss is Beantown's gain, for Downeaster Ted Bachelder, until recently a senior investment analyst with the Northern Trust Company in Chicago and also a teacher of investments in an evening adult education class in Rich, Ill., - has been named to the research staffs of the Boston-based mutual funds, Boston Fund and Canada General Fund. Before going with Northern Trust, the Tuck Schooltrained Ted was an analyst with the home office of Allstate Insurance Co., also in Chicago. Both he and his wife Rae were from Gorham, Me.

I'll end with a plug. If Woos and his agents are dedicated enough to give their share and put in the hours contacting others, the least we can do is make that effort worth while. Give a few bucks to the Fund!

Hope to see some of you when I am on the road this month.
