Matt Bullock was the only one of the class officers who was able to attend the meetings in Hanover on May 12 and 13. Matt has written, "Just a line to let you know that I attended the Alumni Fund Agents' meeting in Hanover and had a delightful time. I learned a good many things and can see that it is a real privilege to serve the College as an agent." Matt, also, wrote, "Former Governor Wallace's visit to Hanover certainly caused a lot of trouble for President Dickey and faculty, but I am quite sure that it will result in more good than evil."

Matt continues to have honors thrust upon him for his unselfish services in many activities during the long and active career. On May 15, the Urban League of Greater Boston sent out a press release that at the 48th Annual Meeting five persons were awarded plaques for long and distinguished service to the community. Among the five recipients was Matthew Bullock who was the first Executive Secretary of the Boston Urban League and who served on its Board for more than forty years. Our congratulations to Matt and may his efforts for the Alumni Fund bring him more honors in the years to come.

A letter from Robbie, dated May 24, announces an addition to his family. He wrote "At about ten this morning the telephone rang and his granddaughter announced, 'Well, I had my baby last night and you are now the great-grandfather of Timothy Robinson Naylor. Mother and son both doing well, thank you.'" Robbie allowed that it was indeed doing very well for the mother to be telephoning, scarcely twelve hours after having had her first child. Robbie adds hopefully that if young Timothy can get into the class of 1985, the family will then have had representatives in the various classes over a span of 161 years, but he admits that this is counting diplomas before they are earned.
