The new year began for 1904 with the sad news that Charlie Tubbs had died on January 3. On that very day Robbie had received word from Anna Tubbs that Charlie had been taken to the hospital and was a very sick man. Charlie has shown himself to be one of the most devoted and loyal members of our Class by the enthusiasm and efficiency with which he has filled the difficult office of Class Agent for the past two years.
We are sorry to learn that Lester H. Gibson who has been living with his son, Bradford H. Gibson, in Palo Alto, Calif., recently suffered a stroke. He is unable to get around and to talk. Our best wishes go to him for a good recovery.
Herbert M. Andrews reports that he is now living with his daughter and is taking life more easily, although he works parttime in a drug store and enjoys being out and seeing his friends.
Arthur Bolster is looking forward to our reunion in 1969 and is enjoying life at a more moderate pace. Gertrude, his wife, uses a cane for support because of arthritis. Recently, they celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary and enjoyed the occasion with family and friends.
Mrs. Burritt H. Hinman or Ellen, as we all know her, spent the summer with her daughter in Dixfield, Me., and is going to the Jack-Tar-Hotel in Clearwater, Fla., for the winter. Should any of the 1904 Family be in the area, drop in for a visit.
It is with regret that your secretary reports that Clarence B. Paul passed away on August 15, 1966 at the Foxboro State Hospital after an illness of several years. In 1913 he suffered a stroke which left him with limited use of his right side, but he successfully operated his own electrical contracting business until 1935 when he retired. His only heir is a nephew who lives in New York City.
