Word from U.S. Steel Company announces the retirement of Vice President Howard J. Mullin after a distinguished career of forty years. Joining the company following graduation, he served in sales capacities in Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Louis, Kansas City, New York, and in 1957 moved to Pittsburgh as assistant vice president of sales, and was elected vice president of sales in 1959. He was chairman of U.S. delegation to Economic Commission for Europe Steel Committee at the United Nations, Geneva in 1953 and again in 1960. Word is that Howard and Edna will continue living in Pittsburgh, he promises more word later on his plans.

Rev. F. Everett Abbot, now vicar at St. Mary's Church in Washington, D. C., returned to his former parish at Lanesboro, Mass., this summer to help them observe their 200 th anniversary. Insurance News reports on the distinguished career of R. A.(Mike) Furbush, president of American National Insurance Company, Galveston, Texas. Mike is very active both in the industry and the community. He is a member of the board of trustees of the National Cystic Fibrosis Research Foundation, on Univerity of Texas board, v.p. of Galveston Chamber of Commerce and many boards.
Don Megathlin just elected to the board of American Marketing Association, Boston Chapter. Doane Arnold reports that his godson Joseph is about to be appointed general counsel for U.S. Department of Commerce. Quite a job for a young man. Joseph incidentally, is son of Charles W. Bartlett.
