The scope of '66 activity continues to expand. A movie producer has emerged. Howie Werner, a second-year Medical Student at the University of Colorado, has spliced together two experimental film festivals at the Denver campus. The last presentation consisted of four films, including interpretations of the Beatles and football
This summer, with support from the National Institutes of Health, Howie is bound for a mission hospital in Ilesha, Nigeria, to work with children suffering from kwashiorker (a protein deficiency disease).
Spring seems to quicken the pace of mergers. On January 28 John Brister married Susan West (University of Massachusetts '66) in Peabody, Mass. Wally Buschmann, a teacher and coach at Wilbraham Academy, and Randy Adams, completing degree requirements in Hanover, were in attendance. John is working as an employment counselor.
Ned Northrup, now an Army Lieutenant, became a husband on February 11, when he exchanged vows with Christine Emilie Bachmayr Mueller in Hartford, Conn. Chris is a graduate of the University of Colorado and will live with Ned in Germany during his two-year tour there. Steve Jordan and Tim Butterworth served as ushers.
Also in February, Mike Danzig took time off from first year studies at the Yale Medical School and married Janice Mona Kohn in Chestnut Hill, Mass. Jane is a 1966 graduate of Jackson College.
While some 66's are acting, others are making big plans. Joe Allen, in his first year at the University of Virginia Law School, is engaged to Virginia Grimes, a Smith graduate working for a master's at Duke University. Joe Michaiski, at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, is engaged to Kathleen Jane Erdmann, a student at the U. of M. School of Nursing.
Steve Abram, at Philadelphia's Jefferson Medical College, plans to marry Pamela Jean Cutler (Smith '66) in June. Pam is currently teaching in the Haverford School. From Stanford Business School comes word that Tripp Miller is engaged to Jeanette Walker, Elmira College '66.
August will be the month Bob Vogel marries Jean Emslie, who attended Connecticut College and graduated from Boston University. Bob is studying architecture at the University of Pennsylvania. The same month will find Bob Stewart marrying Suzanne Eileen Wilson. Bob is working for his master's degree at the university of Connecticut and Sue, a Colby Jr. grad, is studying medical technology at Abington, Mass., Memorial Hospital.
Rick Offenbach, enrolled at Rutgers University, and a junior at the Rutgers College of Nursing, Bonnie Maries, are engaged. At nearby Harvard Law Al Rottenberg has announced his intention to marry Mt. Holyoke College junior Debora Dunn.
From the military comes notice that Ens.Halsey Bullen graduated from Navy OCS program at Newport, R. I., and is at the Navy Supply Corps School in Athens, Georgia ... Lt. Greg Eden is now stationed at Bossier City, La., after flight training at Pensacola ... Bill Lunsford is an ensign with the Coast Guard.
