Dartmouth's Regatta Day was set for the end of April on the Connecticut, and both the heavy crew and the 150-pounders were hoping for improvement over the first weekend of the rowing season.

The first official outing of the first season under DCAC auspices was a solid defeat.

The heavy crews were out-rowed in the Atalanta Cup race at Providence, with the varsity and jayvee boats finishing behind Brown and Boston University. The freshman heavies finished second in their race, behind B.U. and ahead of Brown.

Meanwhile, at New Haven, all three Dartmouth 150-pound crews finished behind M.I.T. and Yale in the Durand Cup run.

Dartmouth's Regatta Day action April 22 had the varsity heavy crew going against M.I.T. and Syracuse for the Packard Cup, while the 150-pounders were hosts to Harvard and M.I.T.
