You have undoubtedly received word of the grievous loss to our Class and the College in the passing of our Bequest Chairman, Ned Kenerson. He was a tower of strength to both Class and College. It is a difficult task to prepare a worthy and deserved In Memoriam report for him and of his many good works. I have tried to do him justice and only hope my effort will reach Hanover in time for the In Memoriam section of this issue. April 24 was a dark day for 1903.
This June issue is the last for the college year but by reason of our 65th Reunion in June we will have a special Reunion Report in the July Commencement issue. Probably these notes will reach you too late in June for any final boost for the Reunion but not too late for a word on the Alumni Fund. My latest reports are not too encouraging as far as 1903 is concerned. We only rank number 8 in the 13 veteran classes for participation in number of gifts. At this point last year we were five gifts and $280 more than now, and our participation index is 94.4%. Do the best you can to boost this percentage - remember they used to say "Angels can do no more."
