Welcome back from that warm summer vacation. Sue and I were made painfully aware that autumn had arrived when the ALUMNI MAG office dropped me their annual warm-up note. And so another season kicks off.

First things first. Your trusty class committee has declared Saturday, November 22 as the annual fall football weekend. So plan on landing at Princeton around noon.

Hats off to Bob Van Dam for heading up the very successful Alumni Fund campaign. We finished first in our league. Way to go group. Incidentally it will be the last hurrah for Bob as he heads off into the golden sunset of retirement a winner.

We were well represented during the class officers' get-together in Hanover last May. In addition to Bob, present were John Schiffman, Mike Slive, Bob Katz, and Al Rappaport.

All of you looking for the quick sure buck, just give a call to Dave Morse who is the stock market expert in Portland, Me. Dave journeyed two and a half years with the Army after Dartmouth and then picked up his law degree from the University of Maine in 1968. Presently Dave is in the investment business with Dominick and Dom inick, Inc. in Portland.

Joining the pitch for co-education is young Stephanie Rouzee who joined Dad and Mom, Mike and Debbie Rouzee, June 3. No doubt Mike has her working out in the local Kappa Sig pingpong room.

The marriage announcements still trickle in attesting to the fact that somehow we have managed to overcome the lack of social awareness resulting from our tenure in upper New Hampshire.

Steve Roth bit the dust in May when he and Daryl Lyn Atkins were wed in New York City. Mrs. Roth was formerly the merchandise co-ordinator with "Seventeen Magazine." Steve is now a corporate commuter operating as president of Interstate Properties Inc. of Clifton, N. J.

Miss Margaret Nettling caught the eye of Jack Fitzgibbon and became Mrs. Fitzgibbon in June. Margaret is a graduate of Albertus Magnus College in New Haven and is pursuing a master of music degree. Jack wound up his tour with the Army in 1968 and is toiling for the Burroughs Corporation in West Haven, Conn. Making certain that Jack performed nobly were a group of willing ushers. Art Fritz, Brock Saxe,Jeff Sund, Mike Stephen, and Frank Hight all pitched in to help Jack take the big step.

If you're bouncing through Watertown, Mass. look up Woody Chittick and his Mrs., formerly known as Joanne Eleanor Towell. Joanne is a Smith graduate and presently is editorial assistant at Houghton Mifflin Company in Boston. The new husband spends his days with Little, Brown and Company in Boston. Present was Mahlon Apgar who came up from New York to assist his fellow classmate.

Evan Zuesse started off this fall as assistant professor of religion at Allegheny College in Meadville, Pa. He is teaching courses entitled Primitive Religions, PostBiblical Judaism, Religions of India, and Religions of China and Japan. He received his Ph.D. last June from the University of Chicago Divinity School, where he specialized in primitive religions and also devoted much study to Chinese and Japanese religions. His current assignment isn't his first teaching experience as he taught in an Israeli high school from 1964 to 1966 and was an instructor in the department of education and culture in Haifa in 1966.

Rumor has it that Dave Singleton is hanging around Durham, N. H., as an assistant dean at the University of New Hampshire. Dave sent me two notes telling me he was nearby, but forgot to sign them. However a couple of my clients charged with illegal possession of you know what gave me the inside scoop on the new administrator.

With another Big Green season fast upon us, we'll be looking for you this fall. Watch for the short bald guy wearing the light blue shirt with the pretty blonde.
