Hermann Muckenschnabl, an outstanding Austrian skier from 1953 to 1963 whose competitive career was ended by a racing accident, has been named assistant coach of skiing at Dartmouth. He was assistant coach at the University of Vermont for the past five years and spent the summer months teaching skiing in Australia. He succeeds John Clough, now an assistant coach with the U.S. ski team. ...

Alumni representatives to the Athletic Council for 1969-70 include William H. Morton '32 of Rye, N. Y., Walter L. Bush Jr. '51 of Minneapolis, Minn., and Daniel J. McCarthy '54 of Hanover, N. H. ... Another coaching appointment is Walter Lutkus, who succeeds Don Wertz (now studying at Tuck School) as assistant swimming coach. ... Construction is nearly complete on a memorial lounge in the lobby of Alumni Gymnasium honoring Dr. Andrew J. (Swede) Oberlander '26, AllAmerica halfback on Dartmouth's undefeated-untied team of 1925. The Oberlander Lounge has been made possible through donations from his '26 classmates and friends. Dedication ceremonies are being planned for November 15, prior to the Cornell-Dartmouth football game in Hanover.
