When Dartmouth's All-Ivy League quarterback Steve Stetson married Sue Burt in mid-December, they became the first Dartmouth undergraduate couple on record. The bride is a senior who transferred to Dartmouth from Middlebury.

A quick look at the freshman teams as they get off the mark: Hockey stands at 6-1 with Tom Fleming and Dan Tomlak pacing the scoring. The Green success includes an 8-5 win over Harvard, the first victory over the Crimson frosh since 1958.

Basketball has a 4-1 record with forward Adam Sutton (24.8) leading the scoring. Five players are scoring in double figures and the team is averaging 99 points.

Football co-captain Fred Radke from Orono, Me., has been named to receive an NCAA postgraduate scholarship. Radke, who plans to study medicine, is the eleventh Dartmouth student to win an NCAA grant.

Wayne Donner, a former quarterback and defensive back at Amherst who has been a coaching assistant at Massachusetts, West Point and Illinois while doing graduate work and serving in the Army, has been named an assistant freshman coach on Dartmouth's football staff. He fills the position vacated by Dennis Brown last summer and held during the 1972 season by Joe Leslie and John Short.
