Recently, word arrived that Larry Blades was appointed Dean of the School of Law at the University of Kansas. Prior to his appointment, Larry was a member of the faculty at the K. U. Law School, beginning in 1964. Before that he practiced law in Los Angeles and Kansas City. He is a member of the Order of the Coif, a distinction in law comparable to Phi Beta Kappa in liberal arts.

In 1966, the Health, Education and Welfare Department established the Oregon Regional Medical Program, with headquarters at the University of Oregon Medical School. Dr. Edward Goldblatt was recently named program coordinator of the Program. Its job is to improve the care of patients with heart disease, cancer, strokes, and related diseases, with emphasis on local initiative and decision-making. Projects funded in the Oregon region included coronary training for nurses, courses for physicians and health workers and four programs to identify and help stroke victims.

Henry Binder is an assistant professor of medicine at the University of Chicago. He is active in what is referred to as academic medicine, being concerned with gastro-intestinal research and medical student teaching, an aspect of medicine somewhat different from medicine as it is generally accepted.

Jack Hall has been promoted to controller of the non-woven fabrics division at the Chicopee Manufacturing Company, the textile affiliate of Johnson & Johnson. He joined Chicopee in 1963 as supervisor for research planning and was named manager of marketing services in 1967. He is a member of the National Society for Corporate Planning and of the College on Planning of the Institute of Management Science. He and Joan and their two sons live in Springfield, N. J.

A man who spends about 50% of his time overseas is John Donnelly, director of international operations for the Gray Company, manufacturer of industrial and automotive pumps and valves. The next time you're in Paris, John, look up your old roommate, John Griffin, who is in France for the Gray Company of Japan, Ltd.

Bob Copeland is a program analyst with the Department of Labor in Washington. Bob says that in theory his department tells other people what and how much to do while trying to fight with Budget Bureau and Congress to convince them of the priority of programs and the reasons for choosing one alternative over the other. He has been closely tied with many of the antipoverty programs.

From the Mid-West comes word that Hanny Mason is manager of marketing for the Frye Manufacturing Company. Frye is the world's largest producer of one-time carbonizing tissue and carbonless paper for the business forms industry. Much of their research work is the development of specialized papers for use on high-speed data processing printers and optical scanning equipment.

Ron Roth is a producer of theatrical motion pictures for Universal Pictures in California. Ron is also a former producer of the Bob Hope Chrysler Analogy and has held various positions such as story editor, associate producer, and writer for the Fred Astaire Analogy, Checkmate and the Alcoa/Goodyear Analogy.

Late last year Bob Millmore and Miss Anne. Obreiter announced their engagement and by the time you read this, they will be man and wife, as a January wedding was planned. Bob is an assistant product manager with the United States Plywood Corporation in New York.
