We are pleased to note from the seat of learning and all wisdom that now that the inauguration is over, things seem to be calming down. It looks like the start of an interesting era.

Based on several trips and numerous telephone calls, the following has been noted:

Binny Tower gets to Washington occasionally on business and I ran into him on a plane to Hartford back last fall. Binny and wife Shirley missed the Fall Reunion due to a conflict with Parents' Weekend for one of their children. Binny wondered about Allen Phillips who the book shows is at the University of Chicago. What about it, Allen? Drop us a line to bring the Class up to date.

The Atlanta contingent consists of Kellyand Janie Coffin, Don and Pat Crance, and Hud and Lois King. From what I gather, it is a close-knit group of '43's who lived it up during the holiday season. Kelly, of course, is particularly active in the Dartmouth Club in Atlanta and advises that the Third Century Fund is going well down there. Kelly is still with Aetna. Don Crance is with Lederle Labs, a division of American Cyanamid and is involved in problems of production and distribution of vaccine for the Hong Kong flu. When I talked with him, he and Pat were about to head for a medical symposium at Hilton Head, near Savannah. Some people get all the breaks. Hud and Lois King are relative newcomers to the Atlanta area, Hud being the regional manager for an ignition company based in Seneca Falls, N. Y. Didn't get a chance to talk to Hud who was out of town, but I learned from Lois that they are very happy with Atlanta. Hud travels a lot along the eastern seaboard and, apparently, sees a number of classmates on his journeys. How about filling me in with some information, Hud?

On the New York end of things, Donand Connie Reich report that Bob and CarolPinto's color TV worked fine for watching the Jets at the Super Bowl. Don is still with Air Reduction and Bob is with the new Mergenthaler Linotype headquarters in Plainview, Long Island.

Frank and Margot Hartmann have moved into a converted old barn in Roslyn Harbor, Long Island. The day I talked to Frank, Margot was being inundated by truck loads of live animals, furniture, carpet and fabrics for a piece that House and Gardens Magazine is doing on their house. If in one of the current issues you see a house with wild animals lying around, that's Frank's place.

NEWS FROM AROUND ABOUT. TomSwick has been named director of advertising of Gillette Toiletries Company in Boston. Al Crowley, who lives in North Scituate is the new director of Urban Affairs for New England Telephone Company. DickDunbar of Bedford, N. H., has been installed as president of the Kiwanis Club of Manchester, N. H. He is with the Maryland Casualty Insurance Company. Arthur Handy who latest information has living in Pocasset, Mass., has just been elected a director of Ocean Spray Cranberries, Inc. WalterHowe has taken the jump and is now associate professor of political science, Frostburg State College, Frostburg, Md., 21532. Another Washingtonian who has changed jobs is Tom Schroth who resigned as executive editor of the Congressional Quarterly as of the middle of January. A call to his home tonight indicates that something mysterious and exciting is afoot, so watch this column next month for the latest news.

The last item is an extremely sad one to report, namely that Tony and Kit Farrell's son Bill, age 19, was killed in an automobile accident the last weekend in January, while traveling home from Boston. He was a freshman at M.I.T. The deepest sympathy of all of us goes to Tony and Kit.
