This month the passing of John EdwardHansbury of 3 Pooks Hill Road, Apt. 803, Bethesda, Md. 20014 on March 1, 1969 and Robinson Haile Mower of 2265 Virginia St., Berkeley, Calif. 94709 on April 14, 1969 have to be recorded. In Memoriams to them will appear in this or a future MAGAZINE.
Ralph Maynard Wight ("Pee Wee ) of R.F.D. 1, Exeter, N. H. 03833 is recuperating at his home following major surgery performed in the late winter. Everyone hopes he will be able to make the trip to Hanover for our 60th this month as he and Florence have been faithful attendants at reunions over the past years.
The French family got into the operation class in mid-March when Hazel underwent major surgery which proved to be non-malignant and then had an eye hemorrhage. Several of the medical profession are working on her and we are planning on being in Hanover for the 60th.
Harold S. Clark, Chester S. Brett, and Bertrand C. French were the old-timers at the April meeting of the Dartmouth Club of Cape Cod. They held a reunion meeting to check on final details for June 13-14-15. There is still time for you to get to Hanover for this event after you read this.
Harold S. Clark, Chester S. Brett, and Wilbur I. Bull attended the Class Officers Weekend at Hanover May 2 and 3. The following classmates have been appointed by Head Agent Stanley W. Leighton to be Assistant Class Agents for this year's Alumni Fund Campaign: George R. Adams, Dr. James Hitchcock, Edwin D. Martin, Dr. Henry E. Meleney, and James N. Tuttle with Mrs. Anson (Toni) McLoud contacting the widows.
The Harold Clarks had a granddaughter and the Bertrand Frenches a grandson in the graduating class at the University of Massachusetts last month.
June is the month of wedding anniversaries for the following of the class: A. Gordon and Grace Weinz, June 3, 55th; James N. and Bertha Tuttle, June 5, 53rd; Dr. Henry E. and Genevra Meleney, June 12, 51st; Wilbur I. and Anna Bull, June 17, 50th; Bertrand C. and Hazel B. French, June 27, 55th and Prof. Curtis M. and Helen Hilliard; June 30, 55th.
Dean Francis H. Bird and Dr. William F.Holzer have contributed to the Alumni Fund for 52 years; followed by Bertrand C.French, 50 years; Chester S. Brett and Dr.Clarence E. Dunbar, 49 years and Harold S. Clark, 48 years. As of May 1 less than 50% of the Class have made a contribution to this year's campaign. How about you?
