The March Fortune magazine features pictures taken at the John Swenson Granite Company in Concord, N. H., for a portfolio entitled "A New Age for Rock of Ages."

Dr. James MacGregor Burns, professor of history at Williams College, second son of our Robert A. Burns, has had published his eighth book entitled "Presidential Government: The Crucible of Leadership."

William H. Bullock was recently featured in a Boston newspaper's series of Sports Profiles with picture and account of his athletic activities at Andover Academy and Dartmouth. Heine, now 82, lives alone, since the death of his wife Alice some years ago, in his life-long home, 14 Winter St., Everett, Mass. How about dropping him a card?

Sidney C. Hazelton was on Cape Cod over Washington's Birthday to attend the funeral of his former colleague, Professor LeRoy J. Cook with burial in the family lot at North Truro, Mass.

Mabel Avery, widow of Phil, is now living with her daughter Joan Bixby at her outing resort Granny Ketch in Francestown, N. H. She is not in too good health but keeps up her interest in Dartmouth and '09.

Hilda B. Cory, widow of Frank, died in Lebanon, N. H., on January 3, 1966.

Rev. Hollis M. Bartletf has retired as a full time chaplain in a Worcester Hospital and is enjoying his home at 453 Mower St., Worcester, Mass. 01602.

It is hoped to get Charlotte M. Shopperly, widow of Art, back on the mailing list. She is living with her sister in Winthrop, Mass.

The granddaughter of Mary M. Carrolland our Frederic was married on February 19 to Donald B. McKinnon '62 in Waban, Mass., with reception at the Algonquin Club.

On February 20 a service Bible was dedicated to the memory of Allen Edward Newton at St. John's Episcopal Church, Winthrop, Mass., the gift of his children Eleanor and Edward.

The Class extends its congratulations to Laurence V. and Percita W. Gardner who celebrate their 57th wedding anniversary at their home, 9 Birdseye Glen, Verona, N. J. 07044 on April 10.

Bertrand C. French has been appointed a member of the Southeastern Massachusetts Transportation Coordinating Committee, which is being established under the sponsorship of the Massachusetts Department of Public Works.

Chester and Marthe Brett and Vemon andCharlotte West celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversaries within the month.

Birthday greetings this month go to Joseph A. Goodheart (5), Sidney C. Hazelton (20), Linn L. White (22), and Elbert M. Moffatt (30).

Richard Lee '65, grandson of Chester Brett, has been on a world tour. He stayed in Japan long enough to qualify himself for the black karate belt which is the highest honor in the sport. Rickey will be remembered by classmates as attending one of our reunions.

Seven members of 1909 belonged to the Dartmouth Educational Association during 1965 and two were remembered by memorial membership.

69 members out of 82 on the mailing list have been heard from to date. How about giving a short report of yourself to the secretary?
