The attendance for the mini reunion on the Princeton weekend was great. Again we enjoyed excellent football, weather, and sociability. Seen at the game were MannieSprague, Cliff Johnson, Gobin and JuliaStair, and George and Bay Theriault. Those who also gathered afterwards at the Norwich Inn to enjoy the delicious dinner arranged for by George Drowne included: Bob and Babe Fox, Hoby and Dawn Van Deusen, Hank and Virginia McKee, Yes and Jan Beattie, Howie and Dot Nichols, George and Polly Farrand, Carl and Jan Rugen, Ed and Peg Knapp, Jud and Ginney Pierson, Bea and Jeff Davis, Bill Dewey, Ed Foley, Tom Noonan, Bob Mitchell, John and Charline Scanlon, Whit and Ginny Kimball, their guests Rees and Mary Anna Frescoln, Ev and Alice Shineman, Art and Mary Connelly, Hal and Copey Smith, their son Jim '71, and Jarv and Dorothy Chapman. Dick Graves writes from Little Rock, Ark.: "My heart attack was on July 1, 1968. I'll always remember this date as I was thoroughly frightened. It is also the last day I smoked! Recovery complete. I'm way behind the averages with only two grandchildren. This is poor production for a man with four children. My biggest worry is what to do with myself five years from now when I'll be 65 and probably be retired."
It was also nice to hear from another westerner. Jack Huntress: "Just returned from an impressive tour of SAC headquarters at Offut Air Base in Omaha. A real eyeopener! Traveled in an Air Force KC-135 tanker. Regarding life in Arizona, this is my 8th year as mayor of Paradise Valley—a desert community adjacent to Scottsdale and Phoenix. In addition, an old-fashioned ice cream parlor, The Sugar Bowl, keeps me busy. Family-wise, our youngest of three (Margery) is a freshman at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas—with which Helen and I are greatly impressed."
The Brown game was rather a let-down after the previous week. The Teahans, their guests the Archers, the Piersons and Davises had a fine day and evening. Daveand Jeanne Russell also joined with Jackand Madeline Wright to celebrate the victory.

Jim and Ethelmae Doherty have moved back to Atlanta where he is vice president of Western Electric's Cable & Wire Products, Manufacturing Division. Their daughter Deborah married Wilson Margues in 1966 and they moved to Rio de Janeiro. She and her family are back in this country now which makes visiting more convenient. Jim and Ethelmae have traveled a large part of the world and we hope to soon have a report on their recent visit to the Far East. Jim would be delighted to see any of his friends who happen to be down in his part of the country at any time.
Ed Greiner has completed thirty years of continuous service with American Motors Corp. and its predecessor companies. He is currently production planning manager for the Kenosha Complex which produces 1,350 cars daily. Ed and Estelle's oldest daughter, Gretchen, is married to Peter Wagner and they are in the Peace Corps in Camocin, Ceará, Brasil. Their second daughter, Gail, graduated from University of Wisconsin a year ago and is in the San Francisco area. Chuck is a junior at the University of Wisconsin. Ed writes: "My golf game continues to be very spotty with very occasional spots of brilliance. Kenosha has had very few Dartmouth men and yours truly has been a 'one man' alumni interviewing group for many years. Even so last year batted 100% having two boys out of two accepted for enrollment."
I apologize for a serious error in the October column. There were several other classmates whose sons graduated with the class of 1970 whom I neglected to mention: Day and Jean Krolich—Day III; Hal andCopey Smith—Robert; and Carl andMarjorie Shineman—twins William (now in graduate school at University of Michigan School of Business) and Paul (now at the University of Cincinnati Medical School).
