Communication lines are not very active between the members of the class of 1901 but I will bring my friends up-to-date about my activities. Last summer I spent the summer at my daughter's camp in Maine. It was very enjoyable being there with her family, and I wrote the following poem:
I am in Maine, the Pine Tree State, Where the pines grow stately and tall.
There is salt in the fresh cool air and the winds blow hard in the fall.
Then the winter comes in with its whistling sound To bring the white snow to cover the ground.
So we lay our summer clothes away To dress for a cool but sunny day.
The Christmas holidays I was again with my daughter in Norwalk, Conn., but will spend the cold winter months in St. Petersburg at the Suwannee Hotel. If any classmates are in that area please get in touch with me.
