A bronze plaque was unveiled at the birthplace of our late classmate, Dr. Ernest Martin Hopkins, eleventh President of Dartmouth, Saturday, November 11, 1967 at 2 P.M. The birthplace is a village house in Dunbarton, N. H., now owned by Mr. and Mrs. Francis Merrill. It formerly was the parsonage of the Dunbarton Free Will Baptist Church. "Hoppy" was born during the first pastorate there of his father, Rev. Adoniram Judson Hopkins. Mrs. Barbara Everett Hayward, widow of Sidney C. Hayward '26, and Russell B. Larmon '19, Professor of the Administration of the Benjamin Ames Kimball Foundation, Emeritus, represented Dartmouth at the ceremony. The Plaque is a gift of the Dunbarton Historical Society and the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Merrimack County.

The joint committee included Gardiner Mills, president of the Dunbarton Historical Society; Fred Lord, vice president, Dunbarton Historical Society; and, Dartmouth alumni, Paul G. Richter '20, Ralph Sanborn '17, Kenrick C. Bean '21, Walter Henshaw '21, Andrew Heath '22, Dudley W. Orr '29 representing the Trustees of the College, Richard F. Upton '35, J. Malcom Swenson '59, and Rev. Richard Beyer '22, who read the invocation and pronounced the benediction. Paul Richter, past president of the Alumni Association of Merrimack County, in a short note to the writer, has suggested that members of '01 would like to visit the house and see the plaque.

Mrs. Elsie Milliken Cudworth, wife of Frank E. Cudworth, died October 21, 1967, following a heart attack about the first of October. She passed away quietly at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William L. (Betty Jane) MacMichael, 99 Poe Road, Princeton, N. J.

Elsie Milliken was born June 15, 1885, at Dauphin, Pa. Her parents were Augustus Bell Milliken and Ida May (Nee) Kline Milliken. She attended High School at Phoemxville, Pa., and Wilson College.

Interment took place in the family plot at Dauphin, Pa. She is survived by her husband, a daughter, Mrs. William L. MacMichael, and three grandchildren. The Class extends our deepest sympathy to Frank Cudworth and his family.
