An interesting Christmas letter received from Spenee and Mary Snedecor briefly reviewed their activities of the last year with hospital, medical organizations and church; that, again the big trip of the year was a survey of the medical facilities of East Africa for the World Council of Churches in Geneva. Beginning in Ethiopia, they went through Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, and Zambia on to Victoria Falls in Rhodesia. Altogether they visited six medical schools and about sixteen hospitals. In addition, special side trips were taken to Kenya and Tanzania. In May, Spence was asked to deliver the first annual Trauma address at the meeting of the Medical Society of New Jersey and was given a special award. They were back to Hanover for a meeting of the Dartmouth Medical Alumni Council in May and again the end of July as guests of Dartmouth Horizons and found both to be very pleasant occasions. Medical teachings and meetings took them in the spring to Salt Lake City and in October an extensive trip to Portland, Ore., San Francisco and Mexico City. In January of this year they stopped over for a couple days with the Siglers in Largo, Fla., on their way from a Tennessee trip.

He stopped in the other morning and I find he lives on nearby Casey Key in the Nokomis-Venice area just south of us.

A reminder of the POW-WOW on Florida's East Coast in Ft. Lauderdale on March 17 and 18, sponsored by the Class of 1918 with '19 and '20 included, and any Dartmouths from close classes are always welcome. It is a very informal gathering, no speakers, just a fun get-together and gabfest - a dinner one night and luncheon the next day.
The Macombers were invited for luncheon with the Bing Whitakers last week and from there went on to call on as many '20s as time would permit, seeing Laddie (now without cast), Buttons and Eva Hill, Sig andBetty Sigler in their new condominium apartment in Largo, also Curt and Grace Haines, known to many New England and Dartmouth people, Curt being a brother of Craig Haines '28.
