In February, while America's space program was preparing Apollo 13 for what was to be as tense a ride as any ever made, and while guns thundered across the globe against a backdrop of chanting peace marchers, St. Patrick's Cathedral quietly witnessed the union of Carole Lee Wolfe and one of our last remaining bachelors, George Guilford Shaw. The bride, a former speech therapist in the Denver school system, is a graduate of Bradford Junior College and Northwestern University. George heads up the Shaw Construction Company of Denver, and when he's not building things he likes to scoot around the countryside at the controls of his plane.

In the same month, and a little ways north The Hartford Courant marked the promotion of Lewis H. Milkey named vicepresident-marketing of Paine, Weber, Jackson & Curtis. That helped somewhat to geographically balance the announcement in December that Laird Incorporated, investment bankers, had named Arthur I. Rauch senior vice president and Director of Research. Art, who joined Laird two years previous, will be responsible for coordination of all research operations and supervision of program planning. As happens frequently these days, he doesn't get rid of many of his old duties continuing as senior analyst specializing in the pharmaceutical, cosmetics, and hospital supply industries. Art earned an M.S. degree from Amos Tuck School and entered the Navy where he attained the rank of lieutenant (j.g.). In 1959 he joined Lionel D. Edie & Co. as an economic analyst and investment counselor. Five years later he became associated with Eastman Dillon, Union Securities & Co. where his positions included supervisor of senior analysts and group director of consumer products. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts, the New York Society of Security Analysts, The F.A.F. Corporate Information Committee, and the Chemical Process Industries Group. New York City is home for Art and wife Roxy, and family.

David T. McLaughlin, president of Champion Packages Company, Chicago was elected to the Board of Trustees of George Williams College. Dave also serves on the board of St. Leonard's House in Chicago and is Chairman of The Winnetka Community House. He and his family live in Winnetka.

Banker Jack Feldman has been promoted to executive vice president and cashier in charge of the operations division at the Bank of the Commonwealth in Detroit. He has been with the bank since 1965 and had previously served as senior vice president and cashier. Before moving to Michigan he was associated with the Howard Savings Institution in Newark, N. J. The Feldmans selected Secretary Romney's town of Bloom-field Hills for their homestead.

Up in North Adams, Mass., Neil A. Hendry was honored at a testimonial luncheon in February upon his resignation as vice president and manager of The First Agricultural National Bank. Neil, a native of New Bedford, Mass., spent four years in the Marine Corps after college and then graduated from Williams College School of Banking in 1962. He joined the staff of The First Agricultural in 1963 as a loan officer and assistant vice president, and was appointed a vice president the following year. He is a director of The Northern Berkshire Community Fund, treasurer of the Northern Berkshire Development Corp. and is a vice president and director of the Northern Berkshire Chamber of Commerce. Neil moves to Proctor, Vt., to accept a similar position with the Proctor Trust Company.

Two classmates moving up in the insurance world are Frank Carey Jr. and Richard M. Page. Frank was recently named vice president in the Boston office of the Employer's Life Insurance Co. of America and Dick was appointed second vice president in the executive department of Travelers Insurance Company. Dick holds a law degree from Columbia Law School and joined Travelers in 1959 as an associate in the law department. He now has responsibility for the coordinating of non insurance subsidiaries and corporate joint ventures. He is a director and secretary of Broadcast Plaza, Inc. and several other Travelers subsidiaries.

Richard W. Krimm, formerly with Myers, Macomber & Faber, Inc., engineers in Harrisburg, Pa., was recently named Assistant Federal Insurance Administrator for the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Dick will be stationed in Washington, D. C.

Well, as I get ready to close up shop for the summer I look back on a frustrating year of being constantly behind the eightball as far as having any backlog of material is concerned. I hope all you fellows have yourselves a ball for the next few months so that some news will find its way back for publication.
