If you are not yet aware of our class project, then go back and reread your mail. The class officers are hopeful that we will experience a quantum jump in class dues participation.

Roy Hitchings, a regular at our Homecoming festivities, continues his work as chief operating officer for Cape Cod Health, which includes two hospitals, two large VNAs, Hospice of Cape Cod, three nursing homes, a number of physician practices, and smaller health care facilities serving patients' needs in mental health, rehabilitation, and substance abuse. Although it may seem like Roy's plate is full, he still finds time for fly fishing for striped bass and singing second tenor in the Great Falmouth Mostly All Male Men's Chorus.

Gerald Schulze has 12 people reporting directly to him as CEO of Medeva Americas Inc. This may seem cumbersome but he feels it is his job to give a vision and guidance to his managers and then let them figure out the best ways to reach the goals. His company recently has formed Medeva PLC, a pharmaceutical outfit, by acquiring several smaller firms and putting them back on the growth track.

About two years ago Bill Jaspersohn wrote a mystery novel titled Native Angels, for which he was given the 1996 Shamus Award by the Private Eye Writers Association of America. He has since published his second novel, Lake Effect. Both books feature Dartmouth grad turned Vermont-based sleuth Peter Boone. Unnamed sources have reported that this character is based on Kenny Paul.

A reminder that Homecoming weekend is fast approaching. The class meeting will be in 108 Dartmouth Hall Saturday morning at 9 followed by the tailgate party on the lawn of Heorot (Chi Phi). If you are in town Friday night, there will be a cash bar in a room at the Hanover Inn. If you plan to join the class for dinner at Jesse's Saturday night, please let me know so I can arrange for the reservations. Call me at (603) 432-2416 or use the e-mail address listed below. Take care and write.
