As usual the Harvard-Dartmouth game was a thriller and resulted in a 21-21 tie. Both teams made capital errors. Dartmouth fumbles near the goal line and Harvard's illegal proceedings from a little too tricky offense, with inelegible receivers all over the field.
A note to Bob Conant from Don King saying that he expects to be present at the 60th. He spent two weeks at St. Pierre and Miquelon. Cap Avery hopes to make it. His emphysema is quiescent but angina has appeared-just as he bought a beautiful new lawn mower.

Brief mention was made about CarlForsaith's participation in the festivities at Chester's 250th anniversary. He wrote the historical pageant which was divided into nine scenes, beginning in 1719 through the 1800s. It depicted the founding and early life of Chester, with props and costumes from this era being used. This was Carl's third venture in play writing in this field of early N. H. history plus two histories-one on Pinkerton Academy and one on Auburn. Carl says that this has kept him out of mischief since retirement. The anniversary was a splendid success and Dr. Carl Forsaith was a big factor in making it so.
Bob Conant has 25 names from men who have signified their intention of coming to the 60th. An excellent start. He hopes to hear from others.
Stub Stoughton visited his sister in Claremont and talked with Bob over the phone.
Joe Cheney sold their cottage in Ocean Point last year but they just couldn't keep away from Maine. He says that Hazel was not progressing in recovery from her stroke because the weather was so hot that she couldn't walk out which was a necessity in her treatment. They traveled up to Portland, Me., and visited a month with her niece, where they enjoyed fine cool weather. They flew to Hampton, Va., and then' back home, hoping the weather will be cooler in Florida. The trip and the change of scenery helped Hazel a lot.
Dave Morey was informed of the death of his classmate Bill Mason and his note in reply said that it was a sad blow to him. He and Bill, Emmett Pishon, Chum Hayes, Joe Donahue, and Ken Winship all roomed together. Dave said that he and Bill had a happy luncheon together last year at the Statler.
It seems that Bill Terry is quite adept at the art of curling. While living in Montreal years ago he was introduced to the sport and has been active in it ever since. One day during a "Bonspiel" at the Winchester (Mass.) Curling Club. Bill Davis, a member of the local club, came out on the ice to greet him and wish him luck. BillDavis is believed to be the only other member of the Class in curling. What's wrong with Wah Whoo Wah, the Indian cheer? Nothing. To all the oldtimers.
