December 3 was a red-letter day for the Dartmouth Alumni Association of the Mohawk Valley. Our President Gil Hurd'41 corralled a very representative group for this affair which was held at our Fort Schuyler Club at noon. We were especially pleased to have Buol Hinman '46 of Rome with us. The Dartmouth Hinman family stems away back, and occupies a notable position in the college annals. Our speaker was Charles Miller '69 from the Admissions Office and he was most delightfully informative. He told us that on the coed proposition the older alumni were against it while the opposite was true of the younger alumni. He explained very lucidly Dartmouth's decision to operate on a four semester proposition and this move will be of mutual benefit to both the college and the student. He conducted most efficiently a question and answer period. The affair abounded in good fellowship and exemplified Franklin McDuffee's famous song-Dartmouth Undying.
