Noteworthy newstime again, and this month brings greetings from Bill and Candace Kapf, living nearby in Amherst, N. H. The Rapf duo was linked last June in Norwich, Vt. and were among the multitudes at the highly successful Yale Weekend get-together in the Faculty Lounge of Hopkins Center. Bill and Candy spent the summer driving to California, stopping by the waysides to visit such friends as Lee and Gaye Reichart, both of whom are fine. Lee is with the Eli Lilly Pharmaceutical Company, and still spends most of his weekends sailing. The travelers also see Bill and Lin Clark frequently. They are currently living in Rockaway, N. J. where Bill is in a trainee program with Howmet Company.
Other salient points in the Rapf log include a very surprise meeting with Clark and Rich Du Moulin on a rainy night a few weeks ago on the shoulder of the Connecticut Turnpike! Rich is still in the Navy at Annapolis. Rick Pabst got married in July to a Wellesley girl (is her name Debbie?) and they are in Washington State. They spent their honeymoon in Mexico with "the great traveler's illness" and have decided to raise horses for awhile instead of kids. Getting back home again. Bill is still teaching art at Milford Ares Senior High School, and anyone who can find Brook Road is welcome to visit. The) visit Hanover often, and are preparing for a long, white winter. Thanks for all the news. Candace. It was great seeing you both the party.
Ah yes, the party! And the Class of '68 Notebook which is slowly but surely filling up with the madness brought on, no doubt, by the sweet euphoria of beating Yale at the last minute, and yours truly's scintillating mixture of Rum and North Country Apple Cider. This nuttiness I now share with you: "Rich DuMoulin is still teaching sailing at Annapolis. John Engelman, Rich Jewish Banker, Glenview. Illinois. Steve Engelman, busted for dope and imprisoned for child-molesting and various other crimes (this note written twin-brother John!). Lee and Gaye Reichart, Indianapolis, where Lee is helping to make pills to keep our population down . . . bless him! Rick Pabst, still in Air Force. Lee Seabury, star reporter for Springneid News. Bill Joslin, Flying for Navy, but getting out January 23! Bill Muttlerperl, Riverdale, N. Y. Gordie Rule (now married ... wife Debbie?), living in Arlington, Mass.; and still chasing Bob Hayes, was seen at the Penn game. Joe and Diana and Little Joe Lowry. also in inArlington, Mass."
Moving right along: "Steve and CarisFranzeim, just married, living in West Concord, Mass. The Emmet seems happier than ever. Larry Smith, working for GTE in Boston Area. Dave and Tina King, Cleveland, Ohio. Dave is in his first semester at Cleveland State Law School. Joe Bazzocchi, for his third year, at Harvard Law School. And we're still not staisfied!!! "Cal Jones and wife Sandra, living in White River Junction (remember that?) while Cal finches up his undergraduate credits for the degree. Fred Appelbaum, accompanied by defeated-looking but friendly Pixie Williams '73 Yale. Ken Cooper, Brighton, Mass. Bard and Paul Rizzi, Concord, N. H. Come see us! Ed and Ham Heald, who gallantly helped out amidst the flurry! Many thanks! Linc and Susan Eldredge: Finished Masters in Theology, now at Boston College for Ph.D. in Religion and society Wife booking Psych in Boston. Married June 27, 1970. Kevin O'Donnell, (whom I'd thought drowned on the high seas of Plymouth, Mass.), will finish med school in three months. Planning to be a surgeon; will begin internship July 1.
Whew! There's more, but I had best stop in order to save fuel for next month and make two very important announcements: Monk Williams is in Bozeman, Mont., training for the 1972 Olympics in Cross Country Skiing. And this is our very first Reunion at Dartmouth June 16-18. PLEASE PLAN NOW TO BE WITHUS!! John McNamara is in charge and will be keeping us posted. John wrote the other day to say that Linde is just about to have their second baby, and that he is working hard to prepare our Good Times in June.
